My husband got his tattoo done at Richards in Aberdeen. I told him about the post I'd put on here and another couple of forums I'd read. He said he was happy to give Richard a try, as its the quality of the artwork that's most important.

We went down and queued for the Tattoo shop opening, there was one person in front of us and one person came behind us. The "receptionist" came out asked what everyone wanted and gave times to come back. The tattoo came out stunning. Really strong colours with perfect crisp, clean lines. I'll try and get a picture uploaded later.

I'm going to get another 2 small tattoos done myself, One on the back of my left shoulder and one on the top of my foot. I reckon I'll head to Richards to get them done there.

Hope this helps anyone wondering where to go :D

I'd recommend Kev at Tribe2 in Glasgow, he did an excellent job of my last tattoo.
Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice. :(

I'm going back for my 2nd consultation to Custom Inc in Glasgow, I had made a design which the guy took time in my 1st consultation to explain how it wouldn't look right on the area of my body that I want it, explained how I could adapt it to make it look better, spent time drawing on me/creating a stencil - asked me to make another appt for a 2nd consultation so that he could draw it up - and after that if I like it I can book to get it done.

I know loads of places would have just taken my print of and done it without a second thought - I really appreciate that this guy actually wants the tattoo to look good now and for as long as it can - I think that shows a genuine decent tattooist :)

i got mine from Irezumi in partick. they were really nice and discussed my tat in detail with me even though it was really simple. they also checked my id as i was only just 18 at the time. it was nice and private in a wee room too.

My mum got one of her tattoos done there and is really happy with it :) I was going to go there, only I opted for Kaya because they let you book an appointment to get your tattoo done, which many tattooists don't do :)

Tribe in Edinburgh or in Glasgow is very good. Their communication and demeanour is excellent. They really listen to you. Should check out the website: tribetattoo . co. uk

    I recommend Rob!

I recommend Spaceys in the grassmarket in Edinburgh. Had my 3 tatoos done there and my belly, nose and tongue piercings.
Going back for another tatoo later in the year :)

I am quite a big tattoo lover - I travel abroad and along the country for pieces of work.

I would consider Red Hot and Blue tattoo in Edinburgh the best in the country, the owner Paul is fantastic. I've heard good things about Forever More in Glasgow too.

another recommendation for Tribe studios Edinburgh & Glasgow, they have (proper) artists who specialise in many different kinds of work

my daughter had a design of her own (she's an artist herself, so she knew exactly what she wanted) which was quite delicate & subtle, so she needed a tattoo artist with a particular skill who'd get it just right

the guy she chose after checking out his work on their site, did an absolutely fantastic job, she's delighted with it & everyone who sees it comments on the delicacy & skill of the work
