Mnn, over three hours later and now on lunch break, I am thinking that trying to do essentially three rooms all at the same time was such a BAAD idea! I am not achieving, or certainly expected to be further through my list. Doing the headless chicken thing and dashing back and forth as well as spotting things along the way that aren't on the list - not good!
Note to self: NEVER, EVER, dust the burglar alarm sensor again. Holy heck, talk about scramble, alarm screeching, cats practically shat themselves as I'm running down the hall yelling 'Oh F***'

    From yesterday:

Tidy a chest of drawers.. tuck in all those bits hanging out
    straighten up the airing cupboard

Friday - bathroom, en-suite and loos!
    Level One
    Clear and wipe surfaces
Scrub the showers x 2, bath, [STRIKE]loo's[/STRIKE], basins etc.. including the stands/pedestals
    Level Two
    declutter and vacuum/mop the floors!
    Wash windows
    chuck out all the empties
    Level Three
    [strike]Wash any blinds/curtains in need[/strike]
    Wipe the tiles
    [strike]De-web and de-fluff the rooms[/strike]
    Extras
[strike]empty and wash out bins[/strike] and laundry baskets
[STRIKE]Clean oven and shelves [/STRIKE]Done but now shelves in dishwasher for extra clean and sprayed oven AGAIN!!
    [STRIKE]meal plan for next week[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Measure up picture I need to frame[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]shopping list[/STRIKE]
    Grocery shopping
    Buy picture frame
    make TGI Friday Glaze
    Get petrol
return to wipe out oven again

I may be shopping at midnight at this rate.

  • i have a cleaning rota otherwise i just spend my days cleaning over and over.

    its something like this.

monday - kitchen - this means cleaning sides, cupboards, fridge, hoovering, mopping, skirting boards, oven etc.

tuesday - living room - sweep floor, hoover, mop floor, skirting boards, dust and polish

wednesday - hall and bathroom - clean bathroom, sweep floor, hoover and mop. tidy up shoes that have been left out and put bits away that have gathered on the stairs

thursday - bedroom and ironing - bedding gets changed, hoover, dust, put clothes away

friday - general tidy, run hoover round and mop

first saturday of the month - windows get washed.

saturday and sunday - just tidy as we go which basically means only keeping the kitchen clean and tidy and the rest of the stuff i sort through the week.

washing gets done as and when needed, also make a point in having a tidy before sit down for the night once dinner is over and done with and kitchen is clean again so that when i get up in the morning its not that messy and i can just deep clean one room a day. saying that the kitchen gets cleaned about 3 times a day as sides get wiped down after every meal, floor gets done every day when im mopping other rooms just to keep it clean.

it takes me about an hour each day apart from on a thursday to keep on top of everything. i try and tidy up as i go so that i dont spend to long on cleaning. stardrops are amazing and am franticlly working my way through the rest of cleaning products i have. the only thing i wont give up though is bleach.

    Morning All

Still full of cold and feeling pretty rotten - 2 sessions of PE today won't really help either! Yr 3 had better be in a co-operative mood! No more snow over night so I won't be having a snow day today. Going to parents' house for tea tonight and then the kids are sleeping over - why don't they sleep when I actually feel like going out and doing something?

Won't get anything done tonight so whatever isn't done will be left to the weekend. I did clean the WM filter and put it on a cleaning wash last night before I went to bed after washing the dog's quilt.

I need to do some school work as well before I go to work - yes I know I had all day yesterday to do it but I didn't!

Going to copy the list from the first post now to see if I've actually done anything off it this week even though I have been busy and have done loads!

    Well Done Kiwi.

PC said it didn't need a defrag so a couple of updates running and I'm going to spend HH doing my schoolwork.

    Morning all

    Hmmmm.....

We have no snow here but they've just mentioned, on the radio, 'white out' conditions close to where I work. Should I stay or should I go? They also say there's snow at Amazingstoke and Odium (Basingstoke and Odiham for the uninitiated) - Greenbee - don't know where you are in Hampshire but I hope you get the day you want. Sounds pretty bad in Devon.

    Decisions decisions....

But I'm a professional. I shall make my sandwiches, get dressed and see how far I get.

I shall fly when I get home
