Hi Kildare, The answer to your question is "YES". Any Royal Mail postage stamp that has 1st or 2nd is valid no matter how many times the rates have increased or when you bought them This also applies to stamps with the "E" (for European rate up to 20g). Currently 50p in April it will be 56p !!
These three issues are called NVI's...Non Value Inidcators.0 -
I know at least two employers( personally)who admit to discarding any applications with 2nd class stamps as a way of whitling down the applicants without having to even open the envelopes.
I've been known to toss applications that came in manilla/brown envelopes rather than white A4 ones - as I was told when starting out that you should at least try to make a good impression, and brown envelopes wreak of bills and the Revenue!0 -
OH my ! Iv been getting fleeced the corner shop near my house charges 40p for a 1st class stamp0

Just a thought.... don't students get 10% discount as well? don't know if that would still apply, but might be worth a try. Thanks to everyone who posts competitions0

But there is a limit to how many books you can buy at once, isn't there? I vaguely recall it on one of the posters.0

If a company is that dump you don't want a job with them and they are probably going to go bust themselves!:rolleyes:0 -
