Rebooted router and its fine now. Note sure on wireless yet I dont use that pc much due to slow connection, and performamce plus constant reboots0

Thanks everyone for your help and laughs on the way! My neighbour (opposite) is on holiday at the momement and i've got the keys so i might try a DIY deflector plate on his router and my adaptor. Thanks I may get two extra rubber duck type aerials as thats what my mate has, see if that helps seens them for about £6.0

Argh wondered if our DECT phone may be causing it as its 1.5 metres from pc that has poor signall. Also pc is in a alcove betweeb a chimney breast and outside wall. Its also behind a lcdtv.
Interference comes from devices such as microwave ovens, cell phones, 2.4 GHz cordless phones, and copy machines0 -

that's the simplest idea, a parabolic reflector behind the aerial, at the right distance - as long as it doesn't affect his coverage in his house if you do it to both ends, but yours only should provide enough improvement at that range
