Hi all
Just went shopping in town, came back 10 minutes after my ticket ran out and now have a PCN. Apart from the fact I am annoyed that I was only ten minutes over (due to OH dithering over an Itouch  ) I accept I did overstay my ticket so is there any point in appealing?

VRM is still showing - payment slip.
PCN is close enough to compliant IMO. just slightly wonky in that it does not specifically say that challenges received before the NtO will be considered - but maybe it does in a round about kinda way earlier.
Expired P&D is an instant ticket so slam dunk on that I'm afraid and 10 mins too much to argue clock issues.
Could try a plea for discretion to be exercised? - but they don't absolutely gaurantee to extend the discount period - some do, some don't.

thought as much, I can appeal online so could do it today, have checked online and it does say that I should not pay whilst appeal is in process and the 14 days from decision on appeal will still be honoured. Will try AGAIN to alter picture
Picture now altered, so basically its a shut up and pay up then, Neil?:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
On the face of it it's a pay. if the website says they definitely will extend discount then doesn't hurt to ask for discretion to be exercised - dunno on what reason though apart from it was only ten mins.
They will probably be signed up to the Cty Ccl policy code on enforcement - there is such a thing in Kent - I saw it once. It may be they let off first offenders for minor infringements below certain times. Very much a case of talk to them nicely.
Still not happy entirely with the back of the PCN but i'm being a bit picky. Let me test it by asking you a question - ok?
If you make an informal challenge, receive no reply and then receive a Notice to Owner - what do you so far understand, from the info given, you have to do?0 -

I'm honestly not being funny!LOL
The point being that if you can't answer that or answer correctly then maybe they haven't made the mandatory info clear.
Gotta go now, will check back later.0 -

In answer to your question, I am not completely sure TBH. I read it that if I appeal then it is all on hold until the decision is made then I get 14 days to pay the £25. Not really sure what happens if there is no reply and then I get a NtO??
I may try talking nicely then, it was a genuine error, my watch doesn't have numbers on it and I knew the ticket was good 'til about half past, just OH dithered a bit and we got back to the car only two minutes after the ticket had been issued. Considering the car park was 2/3rd empty I was not depriving anyone of a parking space.
I must be honest, the wardens were lurking in the car park, and it hard not to think they were looking for 'easy' tickets as its snowing outside :rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0
