I once found an cocoon of spider eggs in the middle of my grapes (from a certain well known, boasts its the cheapest grocery store). I assume spider as they were wrapped in cotton wool type threads. I had initially thought it was a mouldy grape.
I was almost tempted to keep them to see if they hatched, but OH is phobic and freaked.
I have also found "bait" in a tin of tuna (what the manufacturer told us after they'd checked it), mould in a jar of pasta sauce (I assume someones cracked it open in store for a look and shoved it back) and blue perspex fragments in a packet of steak.Feb GC £41.23/£90

I know i am not talking about hair! but i have to tell you all that about six years ago a friend of a friend purchased a mc chicken sandwich and when he bit into it he bit into a cyst!!!!!!!!!!!! i will never eaten chicken again!
This seems to be a very VERY common chicken illness!

But like the above article explains, theres no way a cyst could survive the chopping, re-shaping, and frying that McD's sandwiches undergo is impossible. I think your friend might be having you on.Feb GC £41.23/£90

I once found a foil case baked into a mince pie from M & S. I wrote to them & sent it in. The customer service dept sent me a £25 voucher and apologised profusely saying they were forwarding my complaint to the bakery dept.
Then a week later the bakery dept sent me a £20 voucher and apologised profusely saying they were forwarding my complaint to the packaging dept.
Then a week later the packing dept sent me a £25 voucher and apologised profusely saying they were forwarding my complaing to the customer services dept. About a week later I got another £10 from customer services again.0 -

Well the bills might be printed by machines but humans still run run them, and having worked at a print company in the past I can tell you there are plenty of rumours of operators on the late shift loving thier machines too much. :eek:0 -
reading this thread takes me back to my student days where I worked weekends in a company that packaged frozen foods - things like roast potatoes, bubble and squeak, yorkshire puds etc....my job title was something to do with 'quality control' - my role was actually to stand at the side of a massive conveyor belt and pick out anything that did not meet the 'high quality standards' (yeah right!)....so basically all the bits of plastic, metal, dirt etc that had found their way in there!!!
The worst one was a piece of bubble and squeak that i picked up as it had a black bit...I assumed it was burnt....no, it was a beetle that had been cooked in to it bleurgh!!!0 -
