Hair found in frozen ready meal?

On eating a sweet and sour ready meal from Sainsburys this evening we discovered a hair in it which we were convinced was in it as it was mixed up with the contents and stuck to the rice etc.
Thing is, before whinging to Sainsburys in aim of getting a free replacement or something, how likely is this? I believe it's the law that hair nets are worn in places that prepare food in the UK?
Anyone else found a hair in food and complained about it before?

I found a pubic hair in my gas bill 3 or 4 years ago. British gas appologised but inferred I was mistaken as the bills are all done by machines. Well I wasn't, I opened the bill and there it was in the fold, long, thick, and curly:eek:AKA: PC

No, you should complain as soon as possible.
My border collie's hair looks like pubic hair, it's caused us a bit of embarassment in the past........I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I had a hair cooked inside a donut I bought from asda it was disgusting.
I also had a pubic hair inside a cereal bar from Lidl. Good job I looked down before taking another bite to see it hanging out of the bar!
Eugh i feel sick nowWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
We once found a hair in our pizza from Domino's. We phoned them up and spoke to the manager who very kindly said that the next time we ordered we could have the same meal deal we had for free. Although the oh felt sick as she was the one who found it it did go someway to compensate.0

See, now this is the bit I don't understand....
If I found a hair in something - or anything that shouldn't be there - I wouldn't eat/buy from them again - you make such a fuss about a foreign body being in your food, but as soon as your offered another one free your like - oh ok yes please! Do you think they have changed their procedures specially for you - I doubt it.
I would demand my money back and buy/shop elsewhere - my health is far more important than a free meal !0 -
Couple of weeks ago my daughter found a hair in a packet of Nik Naks. I emailed them with all the dates & codes on the packet, they replied & asked me to send the packet to them with the hair, I said I'd chucked it in the bin. Couple of days later I got £6 in vouchers from KP
Very impressed with them as they were so quick in sending tokens.
