Yes, its called going 'seasonal'. Lots of people do it (mainly students) but its perfectly normal to do.
One thing you will find with most supermarket chains is that you have to work on one day of the weekend, even if its a 4 hour shift you have to do a bit at the weekend.

applied to tesco bout 3 wks ago.. got an interview and the manager told me my application form was one of the best he had ever seen. and that i had got all the questions right and not many people do. he then went on to tell me that i had a great interview and worked really well on my 15min trial on the shop floor, took a photocopy of my passport and told me id hear from him very soon indeed.
i left the store feeling great and thot i had it in the bag. only to receive a letter from then this morning tellin me, the standard of my application was very high and i am sorry to have to tell you on this occasion we wont b offering you a job??
bit of a let down should i have went in and not give it my all??
was i misled by the manager??
kinda confused here guys help me out..0 -
