Ryanair go from Newcastle to Gerona in Spain or, if you take the ferry to Amsterdam, you could hop on the train to Belgium but I guess you'd need to buy a lot to make it worthwhile. What goes around - comes around0

Last Summer, the cheapest cigarette prices in Europe, were found in Latvia.

Mind you, with the falling £ and possible tax increases this could have changed.0 -

It was 34 euros for 200 L&B in the airport flying home form Malaga at Christmas/New Year time - the exchange rate at the time was parity.
Golden Virginia on the other hand, was 3.50Euro for 50G, a much bigger saving compared to £11 a pack here.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Try Gibraltar - i bought some for my mum back in December and they were £11 for 200 JPS0

I paid around €30 for 200 L&B in Spain in October 08 and the rate then was around €1.19 to the £.
Like someone else said... you'd have to buy a whole lot of ciggies to make it worth while going.
Would a channel crossing be cheaper? Ferry companies often do good deals or if you're happy to travel during ungodly hours that too works out cheap.
Failing that, join the army and get posted to Germany... I used to pay £11 for 200 L&B!!0 -
