But you can normally find a promo code for Dell anyway. If you do phone them, quote the code after they negotiate down :)

Don't get me wrong - its good all the people trying to help but the OP stated they are not 'computer savy' and trying to sort out a spec for a PC from online or Dell etc may seem simple to us but is going to confuse the hell out of them! we could make this thread 100 post long just debating the amount of graphics memory they should order!

The point with the Aldi one (yes I know but I don't work for them!) is its FULLY loaded with all the hardware and software a non savy person is ever going to need, its extrememly good value, minimum risk and they can walk home with the box, plug it in and get on with their stuff.

yes it dose have all they need a lot priceyer! it cheaper to order from the link i gave at £220 or sumert like that! but this is the op's choice an bein savy or not the price is a big factor here!

Thanks for all the advice so far and I'm sorry to be a nuisance but could someone tell me if this pc is a good one

it costs a bit more then the one I was looking at in Comet, and this has the screen with it and everything where I only really wanted a new tower, but the screen seems better then what I have now and is bigger.

Id have thought Dell direct was a better place to buy. What back up do you get with this one? Google Acer and see what reviews there are.
