Todmorden - it's just very slightly outside Greater Manchester, although it's actually in Yorkshire (the Lancs/Yorks border used to run through the centre of the town, and it still has a Lancashire postcode (OL14) and telephone std code).Oh really, from where would you be then?
You can see the line on the floor of the town hall where the border used to run, with a white rose on one side and a red rose on the other. I never really understood the rivalry, and consider myself a pink rose!

Edit - sorry that's all really dull unless you're from Todmorden :rotfl:

BB - I love the smell of homebrew - we've got a barrel on the go at the moment - can't abide drinking the stuff tho.....
Tonight we're having chicken and fruity curry that I made god knows when - it's been languishing in the freezer....DD's had "on toast" - beans and cheese and fruit (the fruit wasn't on toast).
I've got a very nice glass of homemade rosehip wine and I intend to watch some dodgy friday night telly.
Have a great evening all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
