Will a bank issue a 2nd credit/debit card in the same name?

I can assure you the card number and expiry date will be different even if you do it this wayHad a quick glance over the posts and can't see anybody suggesting this.
Why not just say the existing card is damaged or cracked?
Unless it's lost or stolen all they will do is send out a replacement with the same card number and expiry date etc.Kavanne

I've had replacement cards with the same number and expiry date on before.
Here's what I'd do. Phone them and ask for a replacement card because you don't like the way the name is presented on the card (decide on a different way to have it that you like first). When they issue the new card, see if the old one keeps working - it might only do for a month (say) before they cancelled it. If they ask why you're still using both cards, appologise, say you got confused and stop using the old one.
My suspicion is that the old card will stop working, but all it will cost you to find out is the call, the time and a change of name format.0 -
