    Morning all :D

Finally managed to catch up. Hope all is well and I've got my fingers firmly crossed for you r.mac.

Quick question in the last couple of weeks I've gone really itchy all over my body but mostly on my boobs and stomach, is this normal

Also when did you all start buying things? My baby weekend didn't really go to plan and I cut it short as rather than enjoying it I felt completely overwhelmed by it all.

Tink - could it be that the itching is you growing a bit? I got that on my tummy when I started to show - not bad, just my skin stretching and some lotion rubbed in after a shower/bath helped. If it's really really itchy see your MW.

I waiting until I had my scan (at 16wks) before buying anything and then got cold feet and we held off until 20+ wks before buying anything. We have the essentials but tried not to buy too much until we know what colour baby is. We got the bigger items such as pram and cot etc after 30wks had passed (although I have to confess to keeping every receipt just in case!):o

Why not just go out to buy a couple of things at a time - we tended to buy things bit by bit and occassionally still found it overwhelming.

Just spoke to hubby, he's on his way to work.. grudgingly... Any excuse and he'd be ringing to say he can't make it in but I won't let him... I think in this current climate he needs to at least show willing to try and get there...

Should say thanks AF too.. Hubby prides himself on knowing titbits of useless information about things... We were watching nothing to declare the other night and I said 'Oh, the host from this has been in Lost...' Hubby was amazed... After I'd found the evidence to prove it to him obviously.... ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Morning ladies!

rmac, I'm keeping everythign crossed for you that baby is here sooner than later ~ my first was a fortnight late, it's bloody horrible waiting around for something to happen, the time drags soooooo much doesn't it?!

I've just had to ring and cancel my physio appointment - it's been snowing, the snow is still on the ground so there's no way I'm gonna try and waddle through it, I'll end up on the floor in no time lol! I've Re-booked, but next appointment I could get was for 3 weeks time!

Couldn't breathe in bed last night - it was horrid! I could breath standing or sitting up, but lying down and I couldn't breath at all. Ended up falling asleep slumped on a heaps of cushions, watching Cape Fear lol

    Hope everyone is OK! xxx

  • Rmac Millie was two weeks late, I have been exactly where you are now and it is horrible, I think maybe the thing to do is accept that it will come when its ready and not before.

I think I'd got to the point where I thought I would just be pregnant forever and it sounds really stupid but it was a bit of a surprise when my waters fnally went!

It was really stormy on the night she was born too, weather pretty horrid today, might be a good sign? How far does the midwife have to come, the snow won't be a problem will it? I can see the attraction of a homebirth with the weather like it is today!

    Morning All

I am meant to have the midwife coming today, sometime between 9.30 and 12.30.....I hope she hurries up, I need to go and buy my son some gloves..he seems to have 3 odd ones but I can't find the pairs to them anywhere.

Tink - I had itching on my belly and boobs....esp the belly it drove me mad, If you haven't got a rash def try some body lotion/moisturiser. I also found I had to change my face moisturiser as Olay (which I have used for ages) stopped agreeing with me. I ended up buying a BIG pot af Astral (old fashioned one bit like Nivea) and have since been using that on my body and face...it has been great. Oh, Apparantly it is all Joanna Lumley uses:)

And guess what!! I managed to make it all the way down to the school and back without falling over.....WELL until I was crossing the road directly opposite my house then slipped over, doing the kind of splits pose!!! My hip, groin and back are now really hurting:(

Well ladies im afraid i think this is the end off my road so far.
The doctor has agreed and he thinks that our little pip is no longer with us,he agrees that the early scan we went for that showed nothing up is prob a blighted ovum too.
Am just waiting for him to ring back and go in tomorrow for it confirmed.
I wish you all the best off luck in your pregnancies and in the impending motherhood too.
