To all you SPD sufferers, do you ever get a sharp pain on your minnie bone bacsuse of it?
I'ts been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks, and since yesterday i've had a horrible sharp stinging pain on my minnie bone, thats the only way I can describe it, it's agony.

Yep - kind of it feels like it's being pulled apart, is how I'd describe mine :( Not nice!!

Has anybody had a private scan done at 12weeks and managed to find out babys flavour?
We are going to Florida in May when I'll be 17weeks so before 20week scan but we want to find out if possible what we are having so we can hit the malls over there!
Oh, and am I totally mad for not wanting to cancel the holiday??!

I had a private sexing scan done at 16+5. The Sonographer I booked it with said that there is a good increase in accuracy after 16 weeks. I was going to go for 15+5 (could only do Saturdays) but he said to wait a week. I imagine anything over 16 weeks would give a good accuracy. Give a few places a call and ask - a lot told me they don't even try before 20 weeks. I think I was told it was about 90% accurate, and he has remained a boy on the next 4 scans, but the HV scared me by asking if I'd be okay if it was a girl!

Did you go to a pain in pregnancy type class? I found that really helpful, perhaps if you got in touch with the Pyshio department. Mine here aim to have most women 'almost' pain free, using supports, crutches, wheelchairs and exercises. You can tie a string around your knees when you are in labour!

I've got a MW appointment next Tuesday so I'll speak to her about it all.
The further along i get the more scared i am of giving birth, then I hear that I cant be induced more than once, and i just think if i go through all this then end up with a section it will really get to me :(

  • AM - one of the things that the physio talked to me about was the possibility of having to elect for a section if I struggled to open my legs. Have you been going to the physio? Mine was saying that there were lots of things that they would try treatment wise before that happened.

She also talked to me in quite a bit of detail about sex and how to make it possible.

Thanks all, how far in advance do these scans need to be booked? I take it I'll have to wait till after Ive had the 1st scan first,so theres absolutley no mistakes about how many weeks I'll be? Also, I'm not even registered under a midwife yet..how many weeks should I be before I do it? Do I need to make appointment with GP? Oh sorry for the bombardment of Q's, I feel I'm a little outta touch, my youngest is almost 6!
love my little man he is amazing :j

AM: has your MW or consultant actually told you that about induction or is it internet chat? If its internet stuff then speak to them about it and get some proper facts :) I'm sure lil Waz will pop out of his own accord no trouble!
Fingers crossed you have a "nice" labour n birth.
I think it terms of feelings bout giving birth you are like a 1st timer with all the fears that go with it, I'm like that over the possibility of induction because Chris appeared "spontaneously" Its just fear of the unknown xx
