Awwww Tara I'm sorry to hear it didn't go well but great that you have a lovely supportive MW who obviously deeply cares about her job and her "ladies" even on her day off :)

So much for money saving but have loads to do tonight as we fly out tomorrow morning at 7 am so leaving at about 4am!!! And I am NOT doing the cooking because Dh said he'd do it and I'm NOT doing it!

Signed a bit of paper stating that I wouldn't discuss anthing with anybody, not gonna give them any other reason to stitch me up. Hard when your head is whirring with stuff. I feel so bad about the child I work with but I can't work with people who use a so-called friend as a scapegoat. Decided that I'm going pamper myself and take care of me and my baby from here on in. Stuff the lot of them.

    Hi tarajayne

I'm sorry you have had such bad news. I think I can guess some of the story from what you posted on the last thread, but obviously not all of it.

I just wanted to let you know that whatever piece of paper you signed does not prevent you from discussing what has happened with either a legal adviser (if you think that you may have a claim for constructive dismissal) or with a medical professional (including a counsellor) if you need help dealing with the stress. If what has happened might make it difficult for you to work in the field you are currently in in the future, then I would strongly recommend that you do take some legal advice (and not just because I was a lawyer pre-kids!) I'd tend to agree with you that posting the details on a public forum might be going too far!

I had something similar happen when I was pregnant with my second child, when the company I was with tried to get rid of me. The only real reason was because I was pregnant for the second time in quick succession (I'd only gone back for 3 months between my two maternity leaves, but I had been employed at the time for more than 5 years, and the second pregnancy wasn't planned). I did challenge it using a lawyer, and they did back down immediately, and claimed there had been a huge misunderstanding. It was stressful at the time but I am glad in retrospective that I did it rather than let myself be walked over.

Are you a LSA? My DD has SEN and the LSAs at her school are fantastic!

My son has an LSA as well. It's the main reason I did it. I'm so attatched to the child I work with.

That just goes to show you are a far far better person than I!

I can do the patient, painstaking stuff with my own child because I love her but it would drive me bonkers to do it day in, day out for someone else's child :p . Which is one of the reasons why I have such respect for the LSAs who are massively undervalued by society imho.
