MFD - Have you thought about a security chain on your front porch - it could open enough for postie to put any post through, but neighbours won't be able to get in? Just a thought :)

MrsT - Hugs to you, hope your work meeting goes well.

Just a quick update as I had my 20 week scan today. Baby is fine, all measurements are perfect! Managed to get 5 pictures and will put them on facebook later. We decided not to find out the sex after all, so it will be a lemon bump until the end!

And hugs to anyone else who needs them at the mo.

    Hi all,

Happy birthday hugs and cake for Feelie! :D Hope your day got better, hun.

MrsT, how did you get on?

AF, when do you start your mat leave?

My day was uneventful really, apart from when I had four cups of tea in less than two hours and I think the caffine sent the baby doo-lally as it didn't stop spinning (or that's how if felt) for twenty mins solid :D Colleagues told me to stop tormenting the baby :(

    Hope everyone's had a good day :)

Molly - glad everything went well. :T Both OH and I hate surprises and are very impatient so will def be finding out the flavour - I am hoping that when No.2 comes along (bloody hell, not even got to 12 week marker of No.1 yet!) the excitement wears off and we will wait.

Watched the episode of Gavin and Sacey when Nessa gives birth last night - love it!!!!

OH and I have been invited to friends tonight but with my bad back and his man flu we've decided to stay in tonight and get an indian takeaway tomorrow night when we are both better. We never bother with cards or pressies on VD - save the money, we know we love each other!!

Wonder how Sami got on at the Zoo and Mrs Tine in her meeting?
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Glad the scan went well molly! I remembered that I loved reading the notes afterwards - everything said 'normal' - DH was laughing at me saying it would be the only time that I was happy for my child to be ordinary!!

I know my neighbours are mad - they are an old couple and everyone in our cul-de-sac knows them (and they know everyone elses business) I TRY not to let them upset me too much. They are well meaning enough, just very nosy.

Elle - I had 2 mugs of starbucks one afternoon and then panicked because Bubba wouldn't stop moving for hours!

Have you seen the 13 year old boy that has just become a dad?

He looks like a baby himself MFD!

Hubby and I weren't going to bother with valentines... It just happened that my Mum asked if Aimee could go and stay, and we never do anything when she's not here that we couldn't do with her here... Just thought it would be nice to go out for a change...

I'm in a right rotten mood... I know I am... Can't seem to get out of it though... Think it's because I'm tired and hungry... Hopefully I'll perk up a bit when I've eaten...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Irony was that they wanted me to switch to drinking the Lucozade I had in the fridge instead - wouldn't that have had the same effect?! :o

I've just been watching the news and seen the front page of the paper for the first time.. I can't believe how young that boy looks!! He looks 13 going on 8, not 13 going on 18 like I was expecting!!

MFD - I can understand why you don't want your neighbours cleaning your front door or coming into your porch without your permission, but I'm a bit lost as to why you don't like your postman posting your mail through your letterbox and want him to leave it lying in an open porch, where any Tom, !!!!!! or Harry could come along and pick it up?

Have you explained to your neighbours that it is your preference to leave the post there. Whilst I agree they are sticking their noses in, I suspect that they noticed that your postman leaves the post where it is vulnerable, and think to themselves that he is being derelict in his duty and are putting it through the door because they genuinely think that you would want them to do so, and that they are protecting you from being robbed or identity fraud. Unless you know for a fact, that they know you don't want them to do this, perhaps you could assume that they are just trying to be kind and good neighbours, and just have a quiet word with them saying you would prefer they didn't.

Or am I missing some major history with these neighbours which has been posted on a previous thread?
