hi hypnonu i had my scan today and it had on Nuchal skin measurements were 4.5mm i wasnt sure what this was what is yours is this normal she didnt mention them so i presume its normal, i know its to do with autism but wasnt sure what thanks sarah
did they put your date back 2 days ? mine got brought forward 2 days not sure 2 days makes much difference tho they never come on time ha

hey britonsarah,
this was my 12 weeks scan and the printout she gave me says the measurement is 1.5mm but i have no idea what that means either? I had my bloods taken today as well so i think they analyse both together and then we get the results in between 7-10 days...

Elle - are you sure she's not preg too? My friend took great interest in my preg and 2 mths later announced she was 3mths gone

I can't beleive the amount of PCTs who's policy it is to change due dates by so little, round here they only change it if its 7 or more days diff from ur LMP one

briton sarah - I wonder if ur bubs will come on my birthday (23rd June)
I'm hoping my bubs will be 2wks old by then and I'll be up for celebrating with a BBQ or something equally small but fun

Ladies I'm faltering I can't stop thinking about asking the sex at my private scan! I've been putting off booking it coz I'm scared I'll ask, i have considered asking them to write it down so only I know. My mum, OH and Chris will be coming and possibly my dad or others - the company I like the look off most have space for 5 family members to come along

anyone with experience of CTS in pregnancy?

mine seems to have really started playing up, well it's either that or combined with the swelling

think what happened yesterday has spooked me and i'm feeling quite sensitive to everything.

Nuchal fold is one of the tests they do for downs syndrome. There aren't any pre-natal tests for autism yet, though they are trying to develop one, and the whole subject is quite controversial in some ways.

sami - we had family friends who had the sonographer write the sex of their baby on a piece of paper and place it in a sealed envelope for them. they could then at any time when they both agreed open the envelope to see what flavour they were having.

i must have only been 7 or 8 at the time but i remember it. quite a good idea i think if you are unsure as to whether or not to find out.
