  • Morning all - wow lots of names talk after I spilled (some) of my (spare) names last night :rotfl:

Lots of support for Spike! We do think it is fab but he would have to be one seriously cool kid to carry it off
But Sir Spike is great feelie so we are alright on that one!!

Tinkerbell - ((HUGS)) hon, you are not having a good run on the parental health front are you? Sending you all best wishes.

Sami - I tried to type an opinion on Cordelia about 3 times. I think the name is okay but if you don't like cordy or delia you prob shouldn't bother :o I thought cora was a stroke of genius from searching but if you don't like that either I would be applying the tippex by now if it were me :p

DSS has a cousin called hermione and she is Minnie for short (and just started walking this week :T :T ) Yay!!

SB - we haven't asked DSS his opinion on specifics because whilst we would like to include him we don't want to get stuck in a position where we really like something and DSS hates it or vice versa!!!

Whoever it was who commented on Max - it's on there to keep hubby quiet for the moment ;):D

Got to run, the bath is running.

  • Forgot to say that had midwife app on Friday and blood pressure was fine so havent got to go back for 3 weeks. They are also convinced that the placenta has moved enough for me not to need a c-section but I wont find out for definate until my scan on 12th March.

I seem to be struggling with boys names this time around - however I think we are settled on the girls name. Though I thought that when we had DS2 and changed my mind on the day he was born.

I have only 2 weeks left at work now and I cant wait as for about 2 weeks now I have been really struggling.
  • Morning all

just caught up on last night.

MFD Spike is cool, go for it, i have a friend whose little boy is called Woody, we were a bit ??? at first but I think everyone loves it now and Spike is even cooler than that, how do you feel about spike milligan and elvis costello though cos eveyone will ask where you got the idea.

Feelinggood, please tell me you are not going to pay the prices on that baby clothes website? £18.99 for a vest???!!!!! plus I'm sure I've seen some of that stuff in TKMaxx.

Woody is on our list too :o it is actually THE name that we decided that we loved a few months ago. But we would probably go Edward as a formal name and call him Woody...who would ever have thought someone would have guessed it!

I thought the same about the baby clothes feelie but a few things from there backed up with some white basics would work! My first purchases were big and bright too!!

On the name front I love Spike and I love Isabella But loads of babies born recently have been called it which puts me off. I love traditional names and with 4 boys already all with middle names then im struggling with boys names this time  We have one picked so far ..Harvey but cant find a middle name to go with it...girls name we have that sorted already.

Its sooooo hard to choose isnt it

Well now I have just about caught up... plans for the day - go to Oxford to try and see if the Maxi-Cosi easi-fix fits our wroom wroom - then maybe into the centre to shop (well look at any rate...) and then some minor tidying and cleaning... maybe. DH is doing breakfast - beef sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, toast etc. Dinner tonight is top side of beef - no idea on how to cook it so best google that and find out I guess :)

Slept terribly - my cough keeps waking me up (and poor DH too!) and I can't even go in the spare room as MIL and her hubby are in there so no rest for either of us :( Poor hubby!
Thought I'd pulled something at one point I was coughing that hard... poor Roo is very quiet this morning - guessing she didn't get much sleep last night either... :)

    Morning all!

MFD, I told my OH about your names post last night. Told him your surname so he was putting together the initials as I told him the names.. We got to Max and his comment was "M and S... Oh, these aren't just any baby kicks, these are M&S baby kicks!"

With his (and baby to be's) surname being Stephens, I think that's just put me off any M names too!

I've got to get myself into gear and tidy up. Walked into the living room this morning and thought "Crikey, where did all this mess come from?!" then realised it was exactly the same as when I walked out of here last night to go to bed! :o

Also got to make my mum's birthday cakes (carrot cake loaf kinda thing) before her birthday meal tonight!
