wow good luck! i didn't know CAB was a charity either!
I know how you feel re: getting a money question wrong. Happens to me everytime we're in a pub quiz and they ask the capital city of deepest darkest mozambique (I teach geography!)..have to politely remind them that there is more to geography than capital cities and colouring in! I dread the capital questions!!

Martin, I'm disappointed.
For someone as into Scrabble as you are, surely you know the value of a quetzal?
(100 centavos, obviously!)If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Good luck Martin. CAB deserves the publicity also (not to mention additional funding!) I am sure you and Angela will both do great. Can't wait to watch it!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 1145DMP mutual support thread member: 264

Goodluck and go get 'em for the CAB from a fellow hack who sat in magistrates witnessing a case where someone charging people for the free advice and help of the kind you and the CAB dispense was up for Council tax evasion!!! If there is a God, you'll make a shed load for the cause and minimise the numbers of troubled people being ripped off again and again.0

So, do you reckon there would be more or less pressure if you got to keep the cash?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Far less pressure paying for yourself... knowing its not you who gains and loses takes away some of the risk based autonomy of decision making...
At one point I asked (dont know if itll stay in the edit) "are you allowed to phone-a-charity" to ask them whether to gamble or not?
OF course the answer was no
Also got LOTS of plugs in for the CAB - at least four or five major explanations - we'll see how many stay inMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.
