It's a bargain basement HANNSPREE VIBE 32" HD LCD TV which was recommended on here. It's been fine for what we want and was only £260 delivered but I think I've been found out now!

I'm 42 by the way and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 rocks!

How is it connected? It should be connected via component and in 720p mode, not pal 60. Otherise your getting an sd picture, not hd.

Oh, I'll have a look tonight. My wifw set it up while I was at the match as I can't do these things!

I'll ask her to look into this tonight. It's connected by a lead that leaves about three different coloured plugs hanging on the floor.

It's almost certainly your problem. It should be connected with 5 wires, 2 red, 1 white, 1 green, 1 blue and then set to 720p mode. You can't get a high definition picture using any of the other leads.

There is a solution here, cant confirm if it works, i use the scart option for my xbox 360 and my tv is fine on 60Hz
  • I remember an old CRT JVC telly I had back in the early 90's.

It didn't have an NTSC option, but did have the PAL60 option.

Even bargain basement TV's these days should allow 60Hz.
