Guess it's just a lot for a single salary, but that's the way it is.
If we took a survey...'Hands up all those who got in to most debt when they were earning their highest Salary?' we'd get close to 100%.
When will they start teaching sensible, practical, money-management at School??

I agree - for me it started at Uni - if I could go back and tell that 18 year old to be a bit more careful with her £200 overdraft limit it would be a different story!
I think if MSE had been around 10 years ago, mine (and many others) lives would have been very different.
Ah well.......just no social life for me for another year or so I guess.....and by then a Wii and a Wii fit ( I really want a wii fit!!!) will be so 'last decade' I'll be able to afford one! Big TV's will be 'retro', my £2.31 ebay TV will be 'cool' and LCD's will be out of favour as everyone clamours for that 'Millennium look' TV!!

I got a Wii and a Wii fit for christmas BB and its better than a social life, playing the wii games and the wii fit when youve had a drink is quite funny.
I think they are starting to teach kids more about money as my brother who is 15 told me off the other day for have a credit card, he said 'i hope you pay it off in full when you get the bill or you will still be paying it off when your 60!' he then told me he was never getting one.0 -

I think you're enjoying the teaching so much, i believe that it will be the making of you....! it's just the prep time involved, is there no way to minimise that?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
