Mozzarella and Pregnancy???

  • Its up to you what you eat?

Health visitors, midwives and docs tell you what they are told to tell you....they dont give you advise from their own personal experiences..which is what advise is supposed to be?

The fact that the recommendations change from this to that back to this again must give people the clue that they use a broad brush over everyone.

If you eat soft cheese every day of your life...why would it suddenly become a problem for someone when they get pregnant? Why can people in other countries eat soft cheeses? Is it only people of certain countries that cant eat it?

    Not just cheese....but anything.

10 years ago preganant women were told to eat lots of liver....now the Vitamin A is bad for babies all of a sudden.....but someone forgets to tell this to all the pregnant women of other countries.

People need to eat what is normal to them. If you are ok with it, so is your baby.

I think common sense comes into it a lot too...
I drink alcohol - not much because I haven't fancied it and when I do it makes my heartburn worse grrrr. I had a bit of pate when home in Denmark, I've eaten what nuts I've fancied and if I feel like eggs I'll darned well have them too! but I try and be sensible - avoiding any food that I don't know for sure is fresh, I don't over do the nuts, I only buy red lion eggs even though normally I buy local organic and freerange...
