You must be a glutten fo punishment wxmlad, you deal with benefits etc all day long during the week and come on here in the evening ;)

No, just a sad person who's job is obviously getting the best of them, he should have stayed in the hotel business but probably found that difficult too.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

  • Job Centres are horrible places, from my experience they (the centres, and a lot of the staff there, but I wont' say all) don't care about actually finding you a suitable job, they just filter you through making sure you're not claiming what you shouldn't.

It took me a long time to get a job after graduating, and the job centre didn't have a suitable job once. Of course when I finally did find a job I became another statistic about how the job centre managed to get another person into work when in reality the whole place just felt like it was there to process the claim as quickly as possible and get you out again. The "job terminals" which might sound funky and helpful were actually just depressing, if you wanted to search for a job you had to consult "the machine" which in reality only ever had temporary shift work or work requiring forklift truck licences or similar.

Signing in every 2 weeks I found the best staff were those who were "in on the joke", they realised you'd never find a job there and just did their best to get you your benefits and get you out again. The worst were the types who would do their best to try and refuse your claim, to the point where it felt like their job descriptions were "save the govt money" not "find these people jobs", and would ask all kinds of questions but never actually thought about finding jobs.

In all I think I claimed about 9 months out of the year after my graduation. I had a temporary job for a while so just missed out getting "new deal" (kicks in after 6 months, and any work resets the clock).

It must be depressing to work at a job centre though, seeing the same people week in week out knowing there's little you can do about it because you're just busy processing the system all day.
The sad fact is that most of the jobs advertised at the job centre just aren't professional jobs and are the sort of jobs which can disappear again after a few months leaving the person back where they were.

I was on JSA a while ago. I was pretty desperate for any kind of job, just to tie me over until i found something better. The woman goes hmmm it just seems to be loads of cleaning jobs at the moment. I said thats fine, i dont mind doing cleaning. And she goes no, you may as well hold out for something better, you know an office job or something. I said i really dont mind doing cleaning and she said nah dont worry i'll find you something better soon.

    I was actually gobsmacked.
  • 2nd time you've called me a liar, be carefull.

    LMAO:rotfl:
  • If you go back to the beginning I think you will find you were the one that made this thread an argument. I don't agree with the original post and I admit you have every right to argue, but using your positon to support it:rolleyes:    Remember you are speaking for yourself, not the official body:confused:

And now your calling me a liar?

    Keep going.

listen 'cyclonebri1' myself and other people who work for jobcentreplus have stated facts, you however are the one who is trolling this thread for arguments presumably as your have nothing better to do, i do know if you have actually noticed but no one is really actually taking my notice of you, your argument hold no water really,
Your trying to say im abusing my position by telling it as it is, when infact myself and other are not! I find it very bizarre that you actually seem to condone abusive behavior towards us? and when we say its unpleasant from SOME not ALL jobseekers we are unprofessional , and how exactly am i using my 'position' to support it?

Now you go back to the begin and see exactly who made this thread an argument, it was the OP, read her post very carefully.

As for calling you a liar, this is the internet and you can be whoever or what ever you want to be, cant you 'cyclonebri';) . no one will ever win an argument online. Dont know what you are going to do about it anyway???
'he called me a liar on tinternet' and.?????????????????????????
( didnt call you a liar, i simply questioned your comment;);))

Now, I do not intent to READ or REPLY to any of your further comments as your just a bored pensioner with nothing better to do.

    have fun x

I'm bored to death with your fallback position wxmlad - every time anyone posts anything negative about job centres or job centre staff or their inability to read a claimant's notes - all we get is this repeated mantra about verbal abuse, physical abuse, spitting etc.

If someone's experience with the job centre is that it was crap and their advisors questions were ''a joke'' - that is their opinion. For you to try to 'bully' that opinion away by constantly talking about the abuse that poster had nothing to do with is irrelevant.

Their experience of the JC was poor. They think an 'advisor's interview was a joke. Now save the abuse defence for the actual numpty in the JC who really was physically/verbally abusive to you. They are completely different people.

    Then I am happy.

You obviously have no grasp on reality then, you think then net is somewhere you can become someone else and spout just whatever you want in ambiguity, Just don't purport to be someone from the jobshop then:T :T :T

But you are taking notice:p :p . Also the first post made a statement, that only becomes an argument when someone like you appears,;)

Read it again, I said no one desrves..... And that includes your customers, don't try to involve others here, you made the posts not your fellows at the jobshop.

I will follow your future posts with added interest and may comment latter if your anti claimant posts continue

Well youv'e had the answer, comment again
