I'm desperate to get out of the benefit trap and set a good example for my Daughter.
I've been on JSA whilst i was pregnant and IS since i have my daughter. In my experience i've found the Jobcentre nothing but helpful, every person ive met and discussed my situation with has been understanding and done their best to help me in the time they had.
My New Deal for LP's Advisor is brilliant, it was him that gave me the nudge to apply for the JC myself, He is one of those people that will really put himself out to help you.
The JC advisors cant work miracles, your attitude makes a huge difference i find. I've always gone to the JC, wanting to know my options, wanting work but have been blunt with what i am able to do, what hours i can work etc...
I havent had much luck so far,but ive been on training course funded through the jobcentre etc.. that if i hadnt of gone in there with the attitude i do, probably wouldnt of happened.
Well done, someone who doesn't want to bash civil servants. You can only help those that want to help themselves, if only more people had the same "can do" attitude as you. Good luck with finding a job, whoever employs you will be very lucky.RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

you've added nothing constructive to this discussion, you've also stated you've never been to the job centre, so unless you have 1st hand experience i suggest you keep your comments to yourself as you have no idea what your talking about
(i actually think he signs on regularly)
If you go back to the beginning I think you will find you were the one that made this thread an argument. I don't agree with the original post and I admit you have every right to argue, but using your positon to support it:rolleyes:    Remember you are speaking for yourself, not the official body
And now your calling me a liar?
Keep going.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Only bitter in respect that some person in an official frontline jobcentre position seeks to use this to strengthen his views in a way that I find offensive. Of course there are the regulars, but an extra million workers just happen to have been thrown into the system. That system gives them a 5 minute session? Probably why the OP thought the situation was a joke?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
