I tell you what gets my goat. My brother-in-law is a doctor (well, a Virologist) and he doesn't have to even fill out his jobskeeers form. He isn't encouraged to take 'just any job' but is allowed to apply only for relevant positions. Don't see why he should be different to anyone else just because he has a medical degree.0

That is an extremely interesting issue. One could argue that he is obviously 'beneficial' to the UK in a medic sense, so it would be paramount for him to keep in his work, but my Husband is extremely qualified in his area of work, so surely its crucial for him to keep in his trade too?
Very interesting...one for debate, and I'm sure it will be debated on here...

I read this thread out of interest as it appears to be in a recently set up section. Read it as an interested, but independant reader. While I expect rants from some of the type of people you refer to, I do not expect to hear these generalisations from an official from the other side of the desk.
I'll say it again, someone in your position should know better, and thats without taking sides
Oh, please don't call me silly or the next post won't be quite so polite;)
NO, i have every right to defend job centre plus workers who DO NOT want to be subjected to abuse and violence. I did not generalise either thank you
and please do not call me 'laddy'0 -

Yes Laddy you have every right to defend job centre workers, no one should be abused in any way in the workplace, BUT, you are in a responsible position and should not be using your position to add weight to the issue you have with some of "your customers". Keep it for the tea room heh?
As for your categorising me, I didn't see a retraction of that, or for calling me silly. I think that gives me the right to call you exactly what I think you are. If you find the job so stressfull that you need to blow off on here I suggest you search out alternative employment.
Try the Job Centre, you never know:rolleyes:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I find your manner very patronising..perhaps you ought to re-read what you have written to see for yourself?0 -
Should I care what you think think?
I'm speaking from the outside not from the back of the counter in a jobshop:pI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

tbh , your ones of those people who would never accept you are wrong even if you were, Mr know-it-all
patronising people doesnt make you big and clever, infact just the opposite - hence the 'silly' comment0 -
