    Mortgage-free Glee!

    Hi QB
Thank-you v.much. I find having a diary really motivational. Do you have one on here?D1

Hi again - yes, I have a diary on here... It's called, rather aspirationally, Mortage Free ASAP... Thank you for your offer or help re using spreadsheets - though I've actually only read it just now! I ended up downloading one another MSE poster had prepared. The stats its come up with are a bit staggering and TBH I'm still getting my head round them. I'm not one of nature's mathematicians and might have got them wrong - then again, it could just be that what I'm proposing to really will save me an awful lot of money!!

Anyway, still enjoying your thread very much, which is giving me lots of new ideas for my own MF journey.

Wishing you all the best for your results!!!
    QB

    Good luck!

Best of luck. I imagine that pay rise will help nicely with the OPs.

  • Certainly am :D

The upsetting thing is I'm moving onto the chartered qualification next which is another 2 1/2 years

Going to have to start doing more study on the weekends.

How would everyone feel if I posted my progress through the textbook chapters on this thread? I can see that being a good idea as you guys can kick me up the bum if I'm not getting on with it :p

Got the text books a month ago (doing two exams in Dec) and have only done two chapters :o I don't HAVE to do it as the college tuition hasn't started yet.

    BUT........................

If i fail either one of these two exams, I get the sack

OK, I need to enjoy passing these exams for the next couple of days, and crack on at the weekend.

    Sound like a plan????

At least when you are studying at the weekends you aren't spending! Since jumping onboard with this MFW thing I have spent all my spare time either working out how else I can throw money at/reduce my mortgage or reading helpful tips on this website, I have saved loads. I even looked twice at some of my favourite foods earlier.

Why worry about failing before you have started. Enjoy today's good news and then you can start working towards those exams.

P.S. Where/what are the textbook chapters? Be patient, I am still new to this.

Sorry, I'm not too sure what you mean  It's not something on MSE forums if thats what you mean?

I'm talking about my progress through my study textbooks. I.e. If say 14 chapter, I need to do say 2 a week.

Let me know if this doesn't clarify?
