Tin tomatoes & cucumbers !!!!!!!!!

Just been to Sainsburys and went to buy a cucumber and imagine the shock ! The price is now, wait for it ..................... £1.20 !!!!! I was with a friend at the time and we were shocked.

Then went to buy some tin tomatoes and they were 33p now they are 38p. I was useless at the prices of food but now even I have noticed how much it goes up daily.

Napolni tinned toms are now 98p in Asda, it's ridiculous how much things are going up lately.

Cue's are still well under a pound in Lidl- I think 80p ish- hate the things so I'm not sure!

They are out of season here and due to this they are being imported from the EU at the moment.

With the current exchange rate with the Euro being a lot lower than a few months ago, it is costing more for the supermarkets to buy these and other items.

I asked for one at the market Saturday and the bloke told me they where now £1.50, he was having to pay £1.30 at the wholesalers

I went to Morrison's Saturday....NO cucumbers, need them to feed my snails. 80p at lidl.

I look for bent/battered tins, and even a really badly distorted one was 49p in Tescos. It's madness. I got a couple of tins the other day for 30p in Asda, also battered.
