Hya peeps, i really need to boost my points, so i am looking at taking cans to recycle, before now ive taken them to the local council tip but have realised the potential of taking them to Ts. If anyone as done this before can you please give me some info please, ie do i need to squash the cans or leave them whole, and at the Ts recycling sites is there someone their to give you the points etc, any help would be great, im pretty sure there are people on here who havent thought about this, but the cans are 1 point for 2 cans, take this as rewards and it can be equvalent to 4 points for 2 cans, which equates to 2p a can. HTH someone as much as i hope its going to help me, thanx in advance

wot a waste ofsomeone as much as i hope its going to help me, thanx in advance

I have taken mine to tescos to recycle but upt ot now I still have had no points....
I used to save them and take about 10 carrier bags full to the local aluminium recycling center and get in region of about £2.50 to 3.00.
Decided to take to tescos but First time in September 2009.... on the clubcard letter no points awarded... so tried again in December and still no points awarded... so I think Im finished with tescos now!!!
As well as no points ..it took me ages to put them through the machine!!!!

    Wot a waste of time!!

remember something about the can recycling last year, that people were finding they weren't getting as many points as before. Have a search through previous thread.
  • Hi

I normally get clubcard coupons sent to me in £10 amounts, but this time I received them in £38.50 amounts.

If I use the code online to order deals (like I usually do) do I need to use the whole £38.50 or will it remember how much of it i've used?

Very confused so any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks!!

Sorry don't know, could try calling them 0800 591 688 if know one comes up with the answer on here.
If you find out please let us know the outcome as might help others if there are starting to send out one voucher for all the points.
My last lot (a few weeks ago) were still in a few different amounts, 2 x£10, 1 x £5 and a couple of smaller ones.
  • Enter the voucher codes and if you enter over the value ordered it will credit the difference back onto next quarter points total

It will credit the amount onto your account to be sent out in May. This does stop you from using the remainder in the mean time though.
First time I've heard of them being sent in such high amounts, might be worth ringing them.
    Now proud Mumto3 :j
  • Thanks for the info - i've got £306 in this lot (due to the DVD offer before Christmas), which is why they are in such high denominations.

So, if I use £10 one day with the £38.50 voucher, i'll be able to use the remaining £28.50 another day? Is that right?

    Thanks for the help

The £28.50 would be credited back to your May mailing so you could not use it until you got your next lot of vouchers
