We had a look at the Airmiles scheme via ClubCard and decided against it.
If there are any folks like us who've booked / thinking of booking a flight or holiday with charter airline Jet2, then Jet2's own 'loyalty' scheme seems pretty darn good.
We've booked two flights to Lanza this winter for £300 and if you're in the Jet2 'club' -- easy enough to register online -- every £ spent goes towards the cost of any other Jet2 flights. As the airline has a large-ish range of destinations, it seems good value to us.0 -
I already have 516 airmiles which I collected from clubcard vouchers, but last week I opened accounts with BA Executive Club and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club because I like the idea of frequent flights with those airlines leading to potential for upgrades in flight classes. I just got £10.50 of clubcard vouchers in the mail, and I'm wondering whether to convert these into Airmiles or into BA Miles? I'd rather travel to places like North America, the Far East, and other far flung areas if that helps, and when I searched here I found one discussion that Airmiles are only good for short-haul trips, is that still the consensus?
We've been to New York twice on airmiles. I'd say you need to book at least 6 months in advance but as long as you're organised and book in lots of time, you should be fine. They've got Aug 2011 on the site already, so you can book a year in advance to make sure you get the flight you want.
I know it doesn't feel like it as we're being chopped back, but we're still getting more than we were before the double points. It'll be interesting once Martin updates the page with the costs vs reward as I always struggle to get my head round it, especially as I'm on the enhanced rate, albeit only 60 miles now.0 -
I had clubcard vouchers for the last mailing which i was keeping until i wanted to convert them and had £13.50 worth to spend.
My mum thought they had expired and only when i was looking for them tonight she said she had thrown them out as she thought the exp was gone...she saw the day and month and assumed it was this year and not next year.
Is there a way that i can phone tesco and ask if they can send out another duplicate mailing or are these lost....?

No not your loss, 'phone Clubcard explain vouchers have been 'lost' and they will cancel them and put the value back into points in your current total which will come out with everything else in the next mailing i.e. November.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

Just starting to try to maximise my tesco spend/voucher amount to go towards Florida flights, to help with this is there a thread which gives details of bonus points for certain items?0

This isn't a thread but you may find this useful in maximising your points via buying certain items: http://supermarketspecialoffers.com/TescoPointOffers.aspx0 -
Hi I wonder if anyone can help me out. My family and I are going to Ireland for Christmas and have pooled our vouchers for the cost of the ferry. But my mum has decided she is going to fly as its much quicker and she doesn't fancy the 8 hour journey. But she still wants us to use her travel tokens. Her surname is on them and according to the irish ferries site we book our tickets and then send the tokens to irish ferries asap. It doesn't ask for names on the tokens. Will this be ok. Will they query that there is no passenger of that name in the car? Should I list my mum as a passenger (costs me £10) and say she couldnt come when we arrive at ferry? Or are they very strict and should I just leave it?
Hope I make sense - Thanks0 -
different vendors have differnet rules (drayton manor don't ask for names of ticket/voucher holders). Why don't you email the ferry company, explain what the problem and see what they say, better safe than sorry.0

perhaps not. my mate had points/vouchers sent from Tesco, but they never turned up (or so she said - think she misplaced them!). They cancelled the initial ones and sent out dups.0
