Thanks Poppy -- I hadn't realised there was any kind of returns system for tokens that couldn't be used. (There doesn't seem to be any mention of this facility anywhere on the website, unless I've missed it!) Thanks again: I'll ring 'em up for the returns address.0

I just sent mine to the same address that you apply to i.e. TescoFreetime Ltd PO Box 654 Crawley RH10 1RG with a covering letter.
It is in the back of the booklet in the terms and conditions "..... however unused and in-date tokens can be returned to us for a points refund"
So make sure you send them tomorrow.0 -
Brilliant Poppy -- very, very much appreciated!0

Forgive me for being lazy and not reading the whole thread. Can someone offer some advice regarding clubcard rewards? We don't shop at Tesco but I have a clubcard for the odd purchase. I get sent £2-£3 of evouchers every few months, but I keep seeing the MSE mantra "make your clubcard points go further". I had a look at Tesco's rewards webpages and I think I will start saving the points as rewards, specifically towards a holiday. We go to Florida every couple of years and for a family of seven it can get expensive! So, when I get my voucher codes do I have to buy a specific reward, or do I convert them to reward points and convert them en-masse to the specific reward I want? For example, can I keep them as generic points until I decide whether to convert them to Cosmos or Virgin reward vouchers?
We spend on average £140 a week on grocery shopping, so how long would it take to save up for a Florida holiday?
Thanks in advance for your replies!0 -

I always understood it to be that the Clubcard point is the equivalent of 1p in every £ spent. Or 2p at the moment with the current double points offer. There are special promotional deals but that's the basic structure.
So if you spend £10 at Tesco during the double points offer then expect ClubCard points to the value of 20p. Spend £100, and it's £2. Spend £1,000 and it's £20. Spend £10,000 and it's £200.
Spend £143 a week on grocery shopping as you do -- though I'm not sure if you spend all of that at Tesco's or not: if you're getting around £4 per quarter in vouchers at the moment, then that's only £16 on a year's shopping.
If you were spending all that £143 a week at Tesco, then that's £7,436 a year, equivalent to £1,859 per quarter.
For which you're entitled to 1,859 Clubcard points @ 1p a point. Or at 2p a point on the current 'double-up' offer. That equates to 3718 pennies in ClubCard vouchers: £37.18p a quarter, not £4.
Multiply by 4 for the ClubCard tokens' value, and you now have a buying power of £148.52p on the deals options.
Do that every quarter, assuming the Tesco points exchange rate is as above and not on single points, and you have £594 in ClubCard tokens value in one year. And you can boost your Clubcard 'take' by purchasing stuff with bonus points.
I don't know how that squares with the cost of a family holiday in Florida.
I also don't know to what extent grocery purchases alone can amass substantial rewards -- certainly, our Tesco credit card spending brings us a substantial chunk of points each month: we've even used it as a deposit on a car, and racked up an excellent vouchers-tokens conversion 'payback' as a result.
We also monitor 1,000-points offers on Tesco new-launch financial products and, if they're competitive, then follow 'em up (though of late, Tesco's financial products, be it car or home insurance, has been anything but competitive: the big bonus points don't do much at all to improve the poor value-for-money of what's actually on offer.)
As to what-tokens-buy-what, you only need to hop over to Tesco's website: the ClubCard deals section itemises everything.0 -

What have you been doing with the vouchers you've had before? Used them, lost them? If the lattr, clubcard can convert them back to points, and them in the Nov mailing. The vouchers, have a life of two years, so accumulate them (keep them in a safe place) till you need them - then convert them into the 'deal' you want.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
I've heard that Clubcard and Airmiles are about to make some changes to the amount of miles awarded, I e-mailed them to ask if it was true and was told there was a letter going out on Monday to users to explain0

Thanks for the replies. We currently shop at Asda, and the vouchers I get are from occasional purchases of petrol or Tesco Direct purchases.
So I just keep them in a safe place then buy the reward I want. I have probably thrown away vouchers that have expired!0 -

what vouchers are you being sent - shopping vouchers, or clubcard vouchers?
if you are only getting £2-£3 a qtr, then you must be spending about £100 a month in tesco - this is nowhere near enough to pay for a family of 7 to go to florida, you would need to be spending roughly 4x the amounts you currently do per week, to get anywhere near the clubcard vouchers needed

From tomorrow, Monday, the double up offer is back on. Take a £5 voucher into store and you can change it for a £10 voucher for certain departments. I can not remember what departments are involved this time except that the pets section is included, not sure if that is food or toys etc, and that wine is definitely not included. I'm sure someone will have the full list in the morning.
Only thing is you must do it before at CSD not at the till.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
