hi.last week my cash card was taken by the machine,i forgot pin its on my old phone.it was my main branch,so i went in with d/licence and tons of id.they refused to return it as i didnt have paper part of licence,had loads of other stuff.explained it was 300 mile round trip to to get paper part of licence.tuff was basicly the attitude.
anyway yesterday pin found,used it at branch took it after one attempt saying incorrect pin.the bit that annoyed me is a girl who had never seen me before accepted just my card part of licence and nothing else,becuase it has a signature,it had one last week.she didnt understand my very polite argument.
and just to top that they now will only give you money over the counter no other info balance etc.if you havent got a pin, tough.i use internet but thats besides the point.
is it just me or is this company completely usesless.
the icing on the cake is i went to hsbc for a basic account.had a meeting with nice chap.i had credit reports in hand,electoral roll confirmation ,bank statements and loads more.i explained i didnt want searches becuase im waiting for some to drop off,then i shoul be all set.also i have six recent searches this month.
he said you cant have a basic account if you have one anyware else.i also couldnt get it and upgrade untill 6 months.he said my credit,if reports were genuine,and bank statements were fine.he would have to do a full search but recent searches would be definate decline.but definately come back in one month.he also said they,hsbc,have toughned up even more recently and excellent customers are being decline credit cards.
sorry for the rant,but there is no rime or reason sometimes.also i woild cheer up if i knew there was some other nationwide critics

I am sure it was just the advisor being an idiot, don't let any of it stress you. I don't believe that you can only have one basic account....
