here is a question - just looked at accessory card website and saw it's sygma, is that the same people that run JD Williams? I was declined for one fo the other sygma cards a few months ago (not sure which one) but accepted today for JDW account - why is that? Daren't apply for the Accessory card as it will be a no and don't want any more searches!

Yup, they provide the finance but only for the card. JD Williams just use them for the finance. For example, Virgin use MBNA for their cards finance.

JD Williams provide credit for the catalogue/sygma provide credit for the JD Williams card.

Totally independant and not linked to each other, however when you have a catalogue for a while they sometimes accept you based on this and the data they see on the CRA's regarding the JD Williams account.

Just cos you got JD Williams does not mean you'll get a credit card. Its not like debenhams or M&S....

Sygma seem to be weird in that if they don't CIFAS you then they give you everything! Try and get a selfrideges account - that will be the tester! i.e. Selfridges in London!

If you have 2 Sygma accounts then you're already half way there (different finance house but same investors so kinda linked)

I cannot risk getting a cifas from Sygma so I will just not apply....

Yes, means they are checking you out manually.

    3 outcomes:

    1. You get accepted
    2. You get declined
    3. You get a CIFAS

Yea, I agree mate I got one - yea they took it off but still, wasn't impressed!

Wait til you get all SAR's in then you'll know what to say when you apply and use the relevant data to bypass the system. LOL could work to our advantage actually.....

we could falsify applications to suit the SAR's hahahaha
