Did you have any naughties on your credit file when you applied.
Also how many searches did you have on your file?
No idea on the searches but as I'd just moved possibly quite a few. I have a couple of unsatisfied CCJs. 3 defaults as far as I know one of which has now been removed and the other two are comprised mainly of charges anyway.
The leap from £500 to £900 pretty much shocked me and with the exception of student overdrafts is the largest credit limit I have ever had. Now I just have to resist spending it as the repayments would be frightening if I did0 -

If your two remaining defaults are made up of charges then that is unlawful and they should not be on your credit file anyway.
Have you checked your credit files?0 -
Not properly no. Got a free one off annual credit report. 1 of the defaults is partially charges from a crapital one card (defaulted for £550 ish.... my credit limit was £200 do the maths lol)0

If you see him online later tell him, the best way to stop things going in circles is to follow my initial advice.
1. SAR all 7 companies
2. Compare data and then
3. Write one letter and copy each of the 7 into it
Doing this shows all of them that you're actually dealing with all 7 companies and it also stops them sending data from one to the other.
Let me give you a scenario (seen one similar on my Hunters report so it is factual):
I apply at Barclays and say i've had job for 10+ years and my number at work is 0117 999999. I then apply again say a year later and my job is the same but say i've moved desks with a new number of 0117 999995 (wait for this!).....Hunters record this as FACTUAL FRAUD ALERT STATUS 99 (ermmm please explain how)!
I then decide to SAR 6 of the 7 companies, omitting say Experian. All the companies remove incorrect data but realise i've not SAR'd Experian and so what they do is send a copy to Experian prior to removing the incorrect data thus meaning when they have removed it I assume i'm in the clear. I am not.
Experian then update this after a month and guess what, they give the same 6 companies an update and hey presto - back to square one!YOU HAVE TO SAR ALL 7 TO BE EFFECTIVE!
Where an earth have you been?????

Try reclaiming the charges. Write to them and tell them you want copies of your statements and then reclaim the charges.
I'm having a few problems with Capital One. I want my default removed and the charges returned. I'm going to go to the county court if necessary.
I paid mine off and this seems to be causing problems as Capital One want to the reduce the debt with the DCA but I paid the DCA the amount so I want the charges returned to me but they are being some what stupid about it!!0 -
