How good are Equifax at responding to questions?

    Good Kpnut.

    Do you have a dispute?

    Well I think so,

All this with the cifas has made go through my file with a fine comb.

And what I have found is: WF have registered a default when I'm still paying the account direct to them. Electorol says I was still living at my previous address in 02/06 when I wasn't, I was at my current address from 02/05. And they have me down as living at my current address for 6years 4 months. My house had just been built when I moved into it.

If WF remove the default then that will leave me with my defaults settled... I will not have no outstanding debt.

So just want to know what sort of response i will get from them.
 Debts: Capitalone £0, Vanquis £220, LX Direct £1197, Mutual £1107, JD Williams £23

Have you got in contact with the County Council regarding it? You could speak to the Electoral department and advise them that they have it wrong.

Equifax will most likely tell you to contact CIFAS or Sygma but they will engage with both parties for you to see what they have to say.

I tried them once the Cifas was first put on my file but they said it was down to the CRA's. However in telephone conversation with the CRA they said it was down to the council. So reached a dead end via telephone conversation.

So thought I would try this route...I have my letter typed for Sygma again and I am including my tenancy agreement, and council tax notices from when I first moved into the property again and see if this will persuade them to remove the Cifas.

    Wish me luck

That may get them to remove it. You could also threaten legal action as you can prove that you aren't telling lies.

    Good luck Kpnut!!! ;)

That sound extremely promising, I think he has been accepted.

He will probably get a £250 limit but that will increase over time.

What negative data does he have on his credit file?

I've not checked his credit file for a yr or two, but from what I can recall he should only have the one default from about 4 yrs ago which he is in an agreed repayment plan

    Hi Fairmon

Your default removal, can you give me some information on this as I'm trying to get Cabot and Robinson Way to remove mine, I haven't got to the N1 stage yet.

    Evening,

Has anyone ever heard of Luv Mobiles? apparently they guarantee you a contract phone on either orange, T Mobile or 3:confused:

    No never heard of them.

I would always try the Networks themselves before trying a Third Party.
