Wondering if anyone could help. I applied for an Aqua card about a week ago and got the "we need to do some more checks" message. This morning i received a letter saying they needed some more information so can i ring them which i did. The guy checked my address history out and said he needed proof of my address so to send credit card statement or something to them which iv done. Does this mean iv been accepted or not? Also, what is the initial credit limit on it? ThanksThinking it over...:o0

Back again. Received the CCA and a welcome and accepted letter for Cap1 last week, so feeling like this might actually happen!!! The letter said I should receive the card in 7-10 days. It didn't say anything about limit though, but I am expecting it to be low to begin with which is just fine, as it will do the job I want it to.
Thanks for listening, and I hope everyone is well.

Hi There,
It is likely that you have been accepted as they would just send you a decline letter otherwise. My OH started on £750 but I have seen people start @ £250 it all depends.

Hi Innocent, yes, beginning to feel that light might be there. I have yet to brave the stark truth of my files, but I know I have at least 2 CCJs. I wonder if because they are not financial products it makes a difference? Who knows - as a new starter to this game - a little late admittedly - I really can't comment.
Your support is much appreciated. I just want to get myself into a house buying position at some stage. Long haul, but start small.
