Just got this from tesco credit card pages:
What doesn't count towards a credit score?
Scoring models do not take into account:- age
- race
- sex
- job or length of employment at your job
- income
- education
- marital status
- whether you've been turned down for credit
- length of time at your current address
- whether you own a home or rent
- information not contained in your credit report

...Home status, marital, employment, electoral role length and in particular, income.....DO NOT COUNT?
How odd is that?
On the basis of the above eligibility criteria for scoring, and if there is no adverse of late payments or defaults etc on an applicants credit file - then 99% of applications for this products should be successful?0 -
Sutton
I got my Vanquis card early 2007 started with £500 and was pushing close to that limit every month can’t be a hundred percent sure but I think it went up to £1250 after 6 months then £1750 shortly after that and finally £2000 which it’s been ever since.
I’m goanna be subprime for a while yet as my BR order has yet to drop off my file but it seems to be heading in the right direction.
Thanks for the interest mate
Whamy
I like finding out as it helps my family who all have Vanquis and also the other people on the forum who have Vanquis, they can aim at something!
Thanks for the information.0 -

Proliant has left the forum?
About time too. Bullies like that shouldn't be allowed in. Proliant, if you read this (lurking) no offense but you did push me too far and you deserved to be reported.
I'll happily apologise for my part if you match me half way and call a truce once and for all?
There's the olive branch - up to you to receive or decline it.......2010 - year of the troll

Sutton, I'm going to apply for this Vanquis Card again in June.
How about you...or are you fed up with them?0 -
I'm really pi*sed off with them that they never gave me a card. Lol
I may wait until September when some of my searches drop off and hopefully I'll have my defaults removed!!
But I may give Vanquis a complete miss and go for Aqua instead.0 -

Aqua sound interesting. And with better opening credit limits than the likes of Cap1, by what i've heard.
I applied to them about a year ago and they declined me stating in writing that they take into consideration repayment history held with creditors.
I didn't have much good credit history then. But I think it has improved in the last 14 months, especially since I got that Cashplus Card.
So I may well give them a go after a few Experian searches drop off.0
