Apologies for not posting much but I do follow the thread.

Just to give an update on my Vanquis Card Account hit the Max £2000 credit
Limit sometime ago now, I do use the card a lot for business but very rarely carry
A balance over month to month.

Letter came a few days ago saying there switching me to a Vanquis Gold Card
apart from being a different colour and a different account number
I don’t think there are any differences.

No joy getting back my £100 deposit on my MBNA visa card 6th statement has been and gone, not one I use much but I’ll let it run for now.

Both my catalogues Littlewoods/Additions have both upped my credit limit in the last 6 months loads of mail from both as well they must be having a tough time at present.

Some interesting new member/members been on the boards lately as well

    Hi Whamy

    Congratulations on the new card!!

Did Vanquis re-credit search you for your Gold card?

I think to get the £100 deposit back from MBNA you would have to close the account or swap to another product with them.

    Hiya

Have you seen this about V Gold? http://www.zyra.org.uk/vanquisgold.htm

Card looks jazzy! So do you only get this if you get the 2k limit from normal vanquis card? Also, is the gold card a higher top end limit or still capped at 2k?

cheers and well done on getting upgraded

    Afternoon All,

Never-in-doubt - I did actually get tickets. 2 in the presale for September and 2 on general sale for his last show in Feb. Well at the moment it's his last, unless he adds any more dates!! I think we'll def go to the Sep one and then sell the Feb ones. He's released 50 dates now - so not sure if he'll add any more  I'm really looking forward to it now - if not £350 lighter :rotfl:

    Hey Sutton

No mate no new credit check’s not that’s shown up on my files so far.

Letter just stated down to account conduct I was getting the upgrade.
No mention of reduce rate or higher limit just said that I had to change
my internet banking to a different account number to make payments,
I’ll keep you posted if anything changes rate, limit etc

Not to worried about my £100 with MBNA did the same ages back when Capital One did a secured card, then after having the card for a few years out of the blue
sent my deposit back and raised my credit limit.

    Hello never

The link you posted shows the card, the letter I received shows the same card
just with the newer Visa symbol.

Not sure about having to have the 2k limit to get the gold card all I can tell you is
I’ve had the 2k limit for just over a year now.

It will look better than my current Abacus style card anyway :D

How long have you had Vanquis then Whamy?

What increments did you get when you first had Vanquis was it £250-£500 etc? Just interested.

    Thanks

I'd love a gold card. Still hoping the BOI appeal comes through! :D

I got my Vanquis card early 2007 started with £500 and was pushing close to that limit every month can’t be a hundred percent sure but I think it went up to £1250 after 6 months then £1750 shortly after that and finally £2000 which it’s been ever since.

I’m goanna be subprime for a while yet as my BR order has yet to drop off my file but it seems to be heading in the right direction.

    Thanks for the interest mate

Did you see my post about BOI? Brother got declined, he appealed, won appeal sent forms off to be told he'd been declined.

What a carry on. he thought he'd won appeal when they sent letters and CCA etc but looks like they do a second check at appeal stage so just be warned, they may credit search you again.

They are clamping down - maybe they read these posts

    Best of luck....
