Haven't been on much this month, v.busy at work and this stupid PC has been playing up. Keeps freezing in the middle of everything! However, some dude has dialled in & (hopefully) fixed it for me. And I'm now on hols from w**k for 2 whole weeks :j
I'm declaring at £104.29 for February and can I please be put down for £95 for March
Just read someones else's post and just wanted to agree. I may have a few ups & downs throughout the month, but 5 mins on here gets me motivated again!
ThanksMy name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

Freezer on and all ready for my delivery!
We did pancakes on Saturday, as my children are at their dad's tomorrow, and I don't want to miss out. Used a cheap batter mix from asda that has been lurking in my pantry since who knows when. The egg was close to its date too, so a great way to use it up! Of course, I made loads... DD didn't want any, and DS had a bit of one. In the interests of MS and no waste, I ate as many as I could - good job I'd had a tiny dinner! I'll feel a bit weird not doing pancakes on the right day though.
Sorted out my sig now, and declaring Feb, my first GC as WAY over, having set a stupidly small target. Still, as Yazz (?!) would say, the only way is up!!

Been missing for a while, thanks to internet access problems.
Would like to re-join please. Didn't do too bad with the budget Dec/Jan (all those chrimbo leftovers) but February looks like I'll be over my unofficial budget - rescued two cats (feral - one tamed, one resistant ) at Christmas but am trying to stick to original target despite increased cat-food costs  (good job Vet's bills not included in challenge!)
Have plenty in the freezer so I think March should be do-able - MrsM, please put me down for £80.Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain ...0 -
Hi folks,
It has been awhile.
I can now post my final monthly shop and DECLARE AT £131.87
It was slightly over my original £105, but maybe I was being a bit optimistic as I had my parents up at the begining of the month, so had to stock up on nice things, that I don't normally buy for myself.

Thanks for the tips on nappies/breast feeding OrkneyStar :T .
I should/could have done so much more with DD (3) with reusables. I actually bought them before she was born but then sold them on ebay unused. I had a rough few months of adjusting to having a baby and the thought of reusables and the extra washing/drying just put me off. I'm seriously tempted to try them again, hopefully I'll know what I'm doing with the new baby
so I'll be able to cope a bit better this time round.
Breast feeding stopped at 14 weeks with DD, not sure why, she just went off me  , so onto the £6 odd tin of SMA Gold, prob one of the more expensive ones, think I'll have a look into cheaper alternatives when the time comes. I'm wondering how long I'll be able to b/f for with a 3 year old running around. I'll do my best :A .
I managed to get a few boxes of wipes during the Asda baby week, just hoping new baby isn't sensitive to the particular brand I bought, they are the same as DD uses so no problem there really. Don't want to stock pile nappies just yet as I had to go through quite a few different types with DD before we found one that suited her, unfortunately they were Huggies. I think the tesco own brand has improved since I first tried them on DD so will be trying those out first at least. Maybe I'll switch over to reusables after a couple of months when my head is screwed back on

Ok this month has been a disaster the jump from £400 to £250 was not good and current spend sits at £397!!!! So I think i have to plan alot more to reign in the unplanned spending £10 here and there soon adds up!! On the up side i have masses of food in so a bit of planning should see me getting back some control
So am declaring at £397 and am going for a more realistic budget for March of £375:T :T

Evening all. Just posting to confess another £20.31 on my February total, signature already updated. I needed to get sugar after all, as no sugar =no baking. There were some good offers around so took full advantage of those. Some of you may be interested.
Went into MrAs, their butter was only 47p per pack ( I had 4 of those) and they had mature cheddar on offer (350gm I think and around £3.22p each normally ) 2 for £3 (I had 4 of those). The Caster Sugar in MrL is only 89p per kg which I think is great compared to some other supermarkets (so I had 4 of those as well). Also got a few other bits and bobs.
Although the February budget is out of the window, my stocks are rapidly swelling (I'm running out of room:eek: and I could do with another freezer too. Hopefully March will be a calmer month, although we have a bit of entertaining to do for three days, but I've got lots already in so I just need to apply myself:oSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Hi everyone,
I'm going to declare at £278.79, which is over and didn't include takeaways. So a bit disappointed but will try much harder next month! I think I'm going to use the different purse idea as I take out cash for groceries but then use it for other things and then get all confused (doesn't take much:rotfl: )
March will start on Wed and I will set my target at £250 again and this will include takeways too so must be strict. I can do it, I can do it......
I've an order coming from Mr T's on Wed which is store cupboard stuff for the month, and then will take out cash each week for fresh stuff - let's see if that helps:rolleyes:
