It does hold water, if you actually understand what my argument is in the first place, and if you can identify the deliberate flippancy in my post. I realise that not all foreigners are black or arab, thank you, having been abroad on a few occasions myself. I'm saying that there is a difference between wanting to go on holiday somewhere where you don't have to deal with anti-social behaviour (drunkeness, fighting, people having sex on the beach, etc) and not wanting to look at people who aren't white. Whether one can reasonably assume that anti-social behaviour is perpetrated by people called Chardonnay is, of course, another matter.
Seeing that this forum is about travel, I don't think it's unfair to assume that most people here are rather more tolerant of foreigners (including the non-white variety) than you seem to be.

Yet again ....... This was about Chavs from our country and not wanting to holiday with them abroad . I compared that with how some people wouldnt want to holiday with ethnics from our country abroad and how the travel company would be in a world of poo if they discriminated against them , like they have with the Chavs .

Not once did I mention Foreigners in their own country . So how did you come up with your assumption

I am very tolerant of foreigners in THEIR OWN countries

Read the posts carefully , theres a good girl !

I've been on that flight (it was a business trip, I hasten to add). Even the FAs seemed chavvy - they spent the whole flight gossiping, talking about their love lives and discussing nails and makeup. It actually worried me quite considerably as they seemed very young and immature and it makes you wonder what would happen if there was an emergency.
A considerable number of the passengers spent most of the flight demanding alcohol - despite the fact that it was an overnight flight.
On that trip, I flew into LA and out of Vegas - completely different flight experiences.

Oh and for good measure my daughter is Cabin Crew for Virgin
    You are one Snobby Cow

On the flight I was on, on the way to Vegas groups of men stood around the toilets drinking cans of lager. The FAs didn't care, they went and hid in their curtained off area and left people to drink as much as they could. On the return flight there was luckily no alcohol. However, I heard a FA say it was because the flight had just arrived from the UK they had drank every drop of alcohol on it.

Just two throw my two pence in for what it's worth - I agree - I'd love to go on a chav-free holiday.

Everytime I go abroad it's like the chaviest of chavs seem to frequent all the places. I don't know whether it's because I am choosing the wrong sorts of places or whether simply the chavs seem to get around the most! Last May I went to Egypt - stayed in a nice 5* resort in El-Gouna - and yep lots of chavs there.

October went to Cyprus - and guess what?

The only place where I haven't come across any chavs is South Africa! A truly magnificent experience. :rotfl:

Egypt and Cyprus are sold in cheap packages. That's why chavs go there. Find somewhere expensive, or not sold by Thomsons (or similar) and you'll find no chavs. So no chavs in Indonesia, except for Bali (because of the packages).

How dare you judge my daughter , she is a lovely caring girl . They all do a good job and the FSM of each flight would not allow a free for all drunken party in the air . You are a nasty person and I hope someone one day makes a nasty comment about your child , if you have any . Do not reply to this , just think what a spitefull comment you made

Having, like a poster above, been on a virgin flight which was, precisely, a drunken free for all, I can categorically say that this was allowed by the flight attendants who simply served up the booze whenever it was demanded. There have been numerous stories in the press about druken passengers running amok on flights - we can't pretend it doesn't happen. It is also a fact that the FAs on the flight I mentioned behaved unprofessionally discussing their love lives, etc. as I detailed in an earlier post. You weren't there so didn't see / hear it. I did. If expecting professional behaviour from people who are entrusted with safety on a flight that I have paid several hundred pounds for makes me a "snobby cow" then so be it. I think you'll find I'm not the only person on this forum, or on travel forums like tripadvisor, who doesn't have a high opinion of virgin. They most certainly do not "all" do a good job, though as I said earlier I was much happier with the service on the LAX flight than the Vegas one and found the FAs on that route very professional.

I'll reply to what I choose, thanks. This is, after all, a public forum, and you haven't exactly been restrained yourself when it comes to posting offensive and patronising comments. I apologise for judging your daughter - though in fact I was actually doing so on the basis of your behaviour. It is always possible she doesn't take after you.

I am very tolerant of foreigners in THEIR OWN countries That's generous of you, considering in their own countries YOU are the foreigner.
