We wouldn`t dare want upset our ethnic friends and offer white`s only holidays , but it`s ok to offer chav free ones . why is that ok ? And it seems fair enough. People have different priorities depending on their background. No big deal. People who are educated middle class professionals tend to get on better with similar people, and people who are uneducated lager louts likewise.

Other names probably include !!!!!! Pullar and Rodger R Sole so give me the "Chavs" anytime;)

I don't think there's any comparison between the two scenarios you cite. I agree the marketing of this company sounds rather snobbish, however the "chav-free" holiday seems to be one which does not embrace the kind of lager-loutish behaviour and generally promiscuity that has unfortunately tarnished the reputation of British holiday-makers in certain European countries. Most people who live in towns and cities in this country have enough of anti-social behaviour all year round, and don't necessarily want to spend their holiday looking at more of the same. Though, I would imagine that these people are not likely to book a package holiday, anyway.

Clearly the idea of an "immigrant/ ethnic free" holiday when you are in a foreign country is ridiculous. Barbados without black people? Tunisia without arabs? Having said that, I do know someone who went to India and pronounced it to be a "culture shock" because "all the women were wearing saris":rolleyes:

Not all foreign countrys are filled with blacks and arabs . Iceland , Scandinavia ? What about a cruise ? that could be the ideal way to only mix with white people . Your argument doesnt hold water

Just two throw my two pence in for what it's worth - I agree - I'd love to go on a chav-free holiday.

Everytime I go abroad it's like the chaviest of chavs seem to frequent all the places. I don't know whether it's because I am choosing the wrong sorts of places or whether simply the chavs seem to get around the most! Last May I went to Egypt - stayed in a nice 5* resort in El-Gouna - and yep lots of chavs there.

October went to Cyprus - and guess what?

The only place where I haven't come across any chavs is South Africa! A truly magnificent experience. :rotfl:

It does hold water, if you actually understand what my argument is in the first place, and if you can identify the deliberate flippancy in my post. I realise that not all foreigners are black or arab, thank you, having been abroad on a few occasions myself. I'm saying that there is a difference between wanting to go on holiday somewhere where you don't have to deal with anti-social behaviour (drunkeness, fighting, people having sex on the beach, etc) and not wanting to look at people who aren't white. Whether one can reasonably assume that anti-social behaviour is perpetrated by people called Chardonnay is, of course, another matter.
Seeing that this forum is about travel, I don't think it's unfair to assume that most people here are rather more tolerant of foreigners (including the non-white variety) than you seem to be.
