Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 6..Read first post for current bargains

Just read the last couple of pages of this thread.
I really think that some people are getting things a bit out of perspective. It seems that several people think they are not getting a good deal unless they are paid to take things away from Boots! To talk about returning skin and hair care products just because they are not free is a bit extreme. Either you need the thing in the first place or you don't. What on earth would you say. Mmm changed my mind about this 12 bottles of handwash!!!
I am not happy to think that Boots would accept returns of this kind and I certainly would not want to purchase anything that had sat in someones cupboard at home. Health, hygiene, tampering issues - I'm sure that Boots must have a policy against it.
Don't get me wrong I am all for getting a bargain but some of the posts just leave me thinking that there is a very thin line between bargain hunting and OCD!
Just a thought!0 -

Yes, you can return unused items.
I find this very strange as the same thing happened to me. It seems to vary store to store, some stores you get 100 points per item but other stores it's only 100 points per transaction no matter how many items you buy.0 -

Hi Lady Baboo.....welcome to this popular thread....the natives are very friendly here!
Just remember to come back and post any bargains you find!0 -
I went to my local boots (Newport centre) yesterday, with my advantage card in my hot little hand - my OH thinks I have a serious problem because I was practically drooling thinking of the baragains I was going to get. I had a mental checklist of everything I wanted - loads of EI for the points, I was going to get some No7 sun stuff on BOGOF to get the free gift, some discounted Hard Candy makeup with the buy 2 get money off offer and after seeing the Jamie Oliver sets had been reduced to £2 in Scotland I was going to have a look for them as well. I've just gotten a new Advantage Card and was hoping for the glitch that gives double bonus points as well as ordinary ones too.
Disaster - no voucher in the machine, no EI anywhere in store, only full price No7, they don't stock Hard Candy and Jamie Oliver sets are still priced at £13.33. OH was so pleased to see me come back with nothing - it's getting harder to get in the bathroom since I discovered this thread!
Nevermind, I did so well with the TD/DR vouchers that it's probably time that I gave Mr Boots a rest...Sealed Pot Challenge - member 1109:j0 -

I quite agree with you. I am all for getting a bargain but I think it is a step too far to be returning goods you got for free .
I also would not be happy to think I was buying goods that someone else had returned. Does anyone know what boots do with the returns, do they bin them or put them back on the shelves?0 -

just had one of the 99p chocolates and there gorgeous! There best sucked ..Mmm
Yes i agree about taking stuff back to Boots,i wouldnt like to buy something someone had returned. Im in Boots alot but i only buy what i need/want, its about using the things on offer in a sensible way and getting the best bonus advantage points that you can but about leaving things for others too!Lightbulb moment January 2006 ..This spendings got to stop..things can only get better :T0 -
I agree with the last few posts - I deliberately worked out how many points I needed - I spent £11.94 to get enough points to "buy with my points" the No.7 cosmetics to get the No.7 gift worth £33 free. In theory I suppose, I have spent less on the No.7 bag then if I was to purchase it normally and to boot I have 14 EI items !!! plus I could also "afford" to buy No.17 cosmetics to get a No.17 gift free. All for £11.94 top bargain.
But at the end of the day, what is the point in rushing out and buying EI items if you will not use them - to me a bargain is a bargain only if it is really used or needed. I could not take EI items back to get a refund knowing I had all those points and maybe someone will click about the offer sooner rather than later but then again I could not go to Tescos and get a R&R either.I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

Thank you. Don't worry, as bham-dave says you win some and you lose some. I will cool off for a little bit... well until someone comes with another idea. At the end of the day I had a good bargain and my husband uses the products. Thank you for your reply anyway.0 -

I know that makeup, vitamins, food, and medicines that get return HAVE TO BE BINED by law this should be nationwide, but not to shore about skincare etc.0
