I wonder if those who feel that they get fairly crap offers from Boots could pretend they've lost their card - call to cancel it - and get their points safely transferred to a potentially more generous new card?
Devious? Moi?
Though of course it's sod's law that the second you cancel, you'll have no card and miss out on the biggest Boots AC loophole in history!
Devious?????You? oh no wouldn't dream of thinking that;)
Yes, you're correct. Once they transfer the points to a new a/c card the old one is cancelled and cannot be used. It does mean you miss out on loopholes or:D:D use another card for the vouchers, hand them over at the till, say got your vouchers earlier that day and you've forgot your card. simply ask the assistant to validate your receipt and when your new card comes simply contact 08451244545 ( a/c cust services) and ask them to put them on, they'll ask you for some info from the receipt/s.
Hope this helps. I now keep a receipt stuck to my bootsing cupboard ...... just incase i lost my card ( for those that might have missed it, my last post gave a tip on what to do if you did loose that precious card)0 -
bham-dave wrote:It seems - if the SA will allow it  - that the tills will accept any AC vouchers, regardless of whether you've even bought the product.
But the till doesn't seem to accept it if you try to put thru more than 1 of the "non-AC" vouchers (example the £5 off Time Delay vouchers) for a single product in a single transaction.
Would others agree with this?
I would agree with this. I used the 150 points for No7 makeup yesterday. It said clearly that it was not for reduced lines - but it was accepted against reduced lines.0 -
So potentially
I could return my EI and Lynx items safely if my card had been lost, no risk of loosing my points, is this devious... I only saying this because I think my husband is going to open soon a draw and find all the stuff I have horded in the last two weeks.
On the plus side, I was happy when I gave him chocs yesterday as he was feeling blue, and got this little present for his aunt (1 pound reduced from 7). But 22 handwash and loads of lynx etccccccccc
So do you think it could work0 -

i did until the lynx I keept puting all the offers together, but I was thrown out by the till and not getting my act together... I don't dare to go to harborne again for a longgggggggggggg time0 -

Saban wrote:Hi can i ask a quick question?
Does anyone know- if you pay with a boots voucher or giftcard can you still get points for an AC promotion e.g. the EI 150 points promotion?
Also i noticed in all earlier post that a refund will count towards your total spend to get a £5 skincare voucher, but could you return something and then use the value to buy something that gets you points again like the EI promotion?
I have a Gym Ball id like to return but i dont know if it would be better to get the balance on a giftcard and then try to use on the EI offer or to just exchange it in one transaction?
Please help!0 -

At present I have a plan B, I use my mil yesterday, and I have ordered one for my daugther as well, I might order one for my husband.0 -
The mimi hair things are available again online with the 500 points added and it is double points weekend too. Just type in - mimi hair - on search and they should come up. I bought one and found the quality not very good though. I just bought a bike and some other items for just over £75 used the code on page 2 and in effect got the bike for only £50 instead of just under £60 with the £10 discount plus double points. HTH0

Just been to my local Boots - Wow what a trip.
I went to see if the EI coupon was there and yes !!!
Hand wash was marked at £2.66 & wasnt marked as BOGOF,so i asked, and yes it was..i bought 8 and 2 Body Form marked at 1.43 each and used the coupon on top for 99p voucher..so i was above the £10 spend for the choccies...or so i thought...i then thought id added it up wrong with having the children with me,she said another £1.00 to get the chocs so i ran for another Bodyform at £1.43 and she said no u need another 1p spend ,i said no there £1.43 on shelf she said i know .. so i had to then buy a chewing gum to put it over a £10 spend!!
...on checking the receipt i saw the EI was 1.66 and the bodyform 99p .!! I was annoyed as i could have bought more EI.
I then used the £5 voucher for 2 Daniele Ryman products reduced to £3 each I spent £10.32 and got £13 in points due to using BF and EI point vouchers.
I came home and called Customer Services about the BOGOF not being advertised and the wrong price on the shelf ( this happens alot in my branch) and i cant read the receipt its so faint . ..They gave me £7.50 in points as a goodwill gesture .. A bargain!!
Spent £10.32 and got £20.50 back in points with savvy shopping and abit of a moan to CS ! im very happy !Lightbulb moment January 2006 ..This spendings got to stop..things can only get better :T0 -
