Telewest's 3 for £30 deal

Hi there
My family just ordered this 3 for £30 package from telewest, and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is a good deal or not?
At the moment we're on 1mb BB from telewest for £25 a month, + the phoneline + sky digital, but we need to save some money so we opted to get this package, but i don't know if it's going to be a good choice or not (it was kind of a rushed decision really).
Would it have been better to keep all 3 seperate? And are there any advantages/disadvantages to this package i should know about? (will i get full speed of my internet if the tv is in use? will i ever be eligable for free upgrades in the future? etc)
Thanks for any help

Your internet connection will not be affected by watching cable TV, and vice versa.
Many people are happy with Telewest - you get full speed internet (ie 1Mbps in your case) regardless of distance from the exchange. The only problem with cable internet is it reduces in speed if too many local users (or people in your street IIRC) are downloading a lot at the same time - but as you were already on Telewest's Broadband you're used to that anyway.
What do you man will you get any free upgrades in the future? Upgrades of what?0 -

Thanks for the reply
I meant the internet connection.
Like at the moment i am on 1mb and would have been getting upgraded to 4mb soon. But with this package i wasn't sure if those kind of upgrades would also be placed on this service in the future, or would that only apply to regular broadband deals?0 -
If its the 3 for £30 deal then you'll be getting 512Kbps (being upgraded to 2Mbps).
If you still want the 4Mbps upgrade, you need to be on the "Freedom Bundle" at £35pm which gives 1Mbps (being upgraded to 4Mbps).0 -
So i'll be downgraded to 512 while i wait for them to upgrade my area (wolverhampton)? That kinda sucks
Thanks for the reply

If you'd like to have the 4Mbps service rather than the 2Mbps in the long run, then see if you can change package to the Freedom Bundle0

I hope you did it online for the £10 discount.
And via Rpoints for 2000 points (worth £20).
If you have not been installed yet, you can cancel and re-order.0 -

If you don't have an Rpoints account pm me for a link and 500 further points.
Thanks, but i think it said yesterday was the last day for that particular offer anyway

Check today, Telewest have had the same Allied Carpets/DFS type offers on since about October.
I was watching them to make sure I have not been done for a better offer, but the offer remains unchanged, just the end date changes.
Is this what you've ordered?
