Thanks for that. The problem is that I wanted to book three return trips to London for my daughter which are coming up at around £9 (with Young persons railcard) before the discount. If I could book all three and pay for one delivery it would be worthwhile but if I have to pay 3 lots of postage, there's no point.

    Regards

can you not choose to pick them up at a local station, or a fast ticket machine, some stations don't have this option.

if some tickets are for a later date, try going through and see if it lets you free delivery.

i booked some tickets for sat yesterday and got free delivery, but today it is not an option.
Proud to be a moneysaver!

Superb! Had been looking around the site the last week or so and resigned myself to a full £59 ticket, when all of a sudden you pop along and save me almost £30!! ;D

Many thanks, tips like this make this site the place it is, and help you laugh when you read the Staples thread... ::)

    offer over :(
  • Doh! The offer has indeed finished on time...

    :'(:'(:'(

I had just worked out how to extend the deadline beyond the 3rd January too!

It's not as easy as simply booking the tickets though.

Here's how it works... buy the saver return ticket(s) for half price using the offer, and then pop into any train station nearer the time and ask them to change the date of travel for you - they may charge you an administration charge for this, but it will still probably work out cheaper than a full price ticket.

If the offer crops up again here is an example of what to do...

    2 x Saver returns Leicester to London = £71.60
    With the 50% discount offer = £35.80

This is immediately a saving of £35.80.

If you then have to pay £10 admin charge for the change of details, you will still save OVER £25!

    Hey ho.. until next time!

  • Thanks for posting this offer sawanderer. Saved over £20 on return fare from Manchester to London next week. ;D

I have seen and used some £5 vouchers for thetrainline.com, but not in the last 12 months. Used to get them in emails from them, but not now.
