I've got one that looks like this:
http://www.minky.co.uk/index.php?page=product_details&cat_id=9&subcat_id=13&product_id=40
but mine was only about £14 from Lidl. It does take up a bit of room whenit's fully open but I just stand it near to the wall, best thing is it's big enough to dry big bath sheets and the clothes don't hang over each other so dry quite quickly.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
Get a shetland pony. They take up less space and don't eat as much.

But they bite!!!
Oh I have 3 at the mo, then 3 radiator airers and the caravan one which also hangs. I have a metal one which I got from wilkos that holds loads, a basic 3 fold because it's easy to store (inc if I need to take it away in the caravan for drying swimming stuff, I just put it under the van when we're not using it and away) and an over the bath one which is very handy! Greedy aren't I, I gave two away aswell. The Ikea one is good if you have dry flat woolens (I had one of those, loaned it to someone but can't remember who...) I also use my standing airers outside in summer when weather is iffy, saves pegging/unpegging I just run in and out with the airer instead. One day I might be more organised...........

I have a old over the bath one, a 3 tier one, very like the Minky from Wilkies and cost me about a tenner. The other fab thing i have is a bannister at the top of my stairs :j , its made from 3 panels of wood and have a slight gap in between each panel and its fab for towels, and the heavier things like jeans, and they dry a treat lol.
I havn't used my tumble dryer for months:A and i am going to put it on freecycle. Cant wait for the better weather to come to get it out on the line.

Thankyou everyone - I am now turning into a clothes horse anorak. Based on responses, Minky is coming up as the manufacturer of choice, but then I have a choice of models. At the moment I think it will be the three tier airer type.
I have a couple of sock Octopus' (should that be Octopi?) from a local hardware store. We have an aga type cooker/boiler and the dryer stands in front of it, for a lot of loads over the winter (then I fold the washing up, put it on the boiler and it irons it!) being at the 'heart of the kitchen' means that the drier has to be compact in floor space terms as we treat it as a round-a-bout.
SS - shetlands aaargh - next doors is aged 40 + and will outlive them. I'd rather use the tumble dryer0 -
I have a few of the hangers you put socks etc on but they are rubbish, are the ikea ones worth the money???, the ones i use now were from wilkies and they fall apart when you touch them, dont mind paying the extra as long as they are strong enough.
Thanks in advance

Brabantia Pull-Out Drying Lines 22 meters
You can buy these on Amazon for under £15. Mine is Fab as I have it so I can just reach to peg on it. I can fit up to three loads from the washer on it and it is all above the ground. Got it on the landing so it collects all the rising heat that would usually be lost.Hello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.
