Does anybody know how to make a whiteboard?

Can you buy whiteboard paint? I looked in B&Q at the weekend but couldn't see any. A search on the internet isn't that revealing either.

I've got a board that's the right size, so it seems daft to buy one, they are quite expensive...

You can buy hardboard that has a smooth, white surface on one side that is ideal. My local B&Q used to stock it, or maybe try another diy place. I don't see why ordinary gloss emulsion wouldn't do the job. As long as you have a white, wipe clean surface the whiteboard pens should work fine.
