Tescos have strawberries at £1.99 for 400g just now, hopefully they'll still be around in a few weeks. You could use marshmallows too I suppose. Good quality chocolate for melting, Lindt & Sprungli at £1.20 per 100g or 25p for Tesco Value for the same amount.

This is a great idea, also white chocolate from asda is 51p and very nice you could melt this down and add a few drops of red food colouring for extra valentinesness!

Matalan have some nice & cheap items, heart shaped cookie cutters, heart baking trays, daft pants for your fella and more bits.

tesco have some lovely pink socks with a heart and 'i love you' on for just a £1.

Lidl from monday have an exploding table firework which will sprinkle rose petals over your table for £2.99, other places online they are £14.

Surely the most traditional gift of all... Aldi will be selling one dozen red roses, with gypsophila and nice wrapping for £7.99 from Thursday. A bargain compared to the usual price for these around this time, but will there still be any left by the 14th?

How about a heart shaped cushtie ( its a beanbag) available from https://www.firebox.com and https://www.iwantoneofthose.com com £9.95 price hasn't incresed for v day either. some of my friends and family have cushties already, theyre great for travelling esp long haul. Look for codes before using these sites though
