No thanks, I'll stick with 18185's 4p connection and 0.5p/minute.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

ok, Heinz, but 0.9p per minute is cheaper for calls under 10 minutes long, from free minute packages, and 0.6p per minute takes 40 minutes to be overhauled

If you can get my wife to limit her calls to her sister (in Menorca actually, but 18185's charge is the same) to less than an hour, you're a better man than I Gunga Din!

If those mobiles are on O2 or Orange, you'd be able to call most of those destinations via 07744 (and 0844 or 0870 on O2) callthrough numbers from inclusive minutes, and with no further charge

    yep... totally agreed but:

    1. we run outa our incl minutes rather fast (spread over 4 x mobiles )

    2. we also (unfortunately - as C.Services r crap!) have company mobile contracts with vodafon, 3 & t-mobile .... and calling any 0774... from these is bl...dy expensiv.
