Stella is a good Cherry, but you will need to put netting up as the birds eat the lot, I have 18 trees, and every year it's a battle. :mad:My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

Do you have to plant more than one tree of each variety to cross pollenate.0

Owens, fruit trees are really easy, just palnt in the garden, not near the house. You can make it harder by annual pruning or just let them get on with it, all will fruit but pruning will probably give a more balanced crop
Meanie, depends if there are nearby trees of the same type, ie aples for apple. Conferance is self fertile I know but does crop better with another pear nearby
I suspect if you Googled the varieties + pollination you were interested in the answer would be near the topEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Yes. If you look on the label that comes with the trees (I bought 4 the last time round) it will tell you which other varieties the tree needs for pollination.
I can say that the quality of these fruit trees is absolutely excellent. I as I said above I bout 4 about 3 or 4 months ago. I planted them up and they have lost none of their leaves throughout the Winter. I live in Staffordshire so we've had medium weather but it has gone down to about -4 degrees C.
I recommend these trees.

I just read up on the stella cherry, it is self fertilising, but was wondering does this grow into a large tree? As would love one for the garden, but dont anything that would grow too large.0
