Don't know what to say Lemma just big hugs - but you will get through this and hopefully some good things will start to come your way - as my mother used to say its a long road that has no turnings

Keep going - easy for me to say, I know, but you know I have the utmost admiration for your determination to do all this in such challenging circumstances.
I'm not around on MSE so much now, but I do think of you often.

Lemma,
If you are so low please can you go to your doctor - you will get the help you need.
Do you like your job? If you don't can you change role - obviously with enough income to cover bills etc and pay off HMRC slowler than you are doing?
My DH has depression and has had for 16 years - he has some neurological problems at the moment which got on top of him and the other week he went missing -
The distress he caused to us while he was missing was immense - I have never known pain like it.
Now he is getting some extra help and I hope it works although I know that he will always have depression.
I would hate to see you get so low that you think there is no way out - please keep your family in mind.

Well done on soldiering on with this. I am amazed that you have tried so hard, and they are still hounding you !!!!!!. Even HMRC can't have what you don't have.
Just a quick qestion ref your OH. If he has long term medical issues can he get DLA?
good luck with the ongoing battle

Hi Guys
I wrote to them yesterday with all my expenses etc broken down to the n'th degree and a further proposal. We shall have to wait and see. I could not bear speaking to them as they seem to read off a script and get into a loop that they won't veer from. Its very annoying and upsetting.
I have paid them another £650 today taking the total so far to £20150 this year.
Newleaf, I know where you are coming from. Its hard work and if your income is low is is soul destroying. My income is not low but it is irregular, and due to my husband's position i am now paying off all his debts etc and trying to keep my head above water.
People do not realise that a high turnover does not necessarily equate to high disposable income. My outgoings are high, and our main debt is my tax liability. We have other debt but it pales in comparison to this problem.
I have seen the doctor who has recommended counselling and has given me anti-depressants that I have been taking for some time now. The issue with counselling is that i have nowhere to fit it in and it wont get around the fact that my husband is ill and im up to my neck in it with HMRC.
Oh well, hey ho....i suppose i had better get on with my work.
Have a good day everyone xx2013 TARGET £30k

Hold up there a minute. You are paying off your OH debts? Why? If he is ill, then he can do an debt management plan for just his debts. Course it would wreck his credit rating. And maybe yours as well if you have joint accounts. But even so if he did this then you would still have more income to throw at HMRC?I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi Chev,
don't want to wreck my credit any more than it is. I've done a good job at keeping the wolves at bay...I'm not giving in now. And we do have joint accounts.
Hey ho.
Paid another £350 today to take me to 20500 so far.
Ill either get there or I won't. C'est la vie.

Sorry that it is so rough for you. I think you're doing great.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
